I want to hear where you guys stand on this. For me, having just seen T-mac do this amazed me. I lean more towards T-mac because of the time frame he had and against the team he did it. Also, being able to hit a game winner like that helps make it great as well. I have nothing against Kobes 81 as he simply just took the game over when his team was down 15 but to me T-macs is more accomplished.
Kobe's 81....in 50+ years it is 2nd all time in terms of most points scored in a game, and the greatest scoring game we have on tape. He also did it more efficienctly than Wilt, and his team was down by like 20 at the half. He scored more in the 2nd half than most players ever will in their careers (55pts).T-Mac's 13 in 30 is close, but Kobe's 81 is just something on another level.
the 81 point show by kobe was just amazing. those 13 points were amazing too, coming back from 10 or so to win, but kobe carried his team that game for 48 minutes. that sorta scoring show probably won't happen again for a long time.
The Kobe 81 point night became a legend. In the 4th Quarter Kobe just took over the game and was unstoppable. While Tmac just took over the game with just 35 seconds left. But when will there be a next time where a player score 81 points or more? But both of these moments were great. Afterall TMac did socre some quick 3's and made the Spurs turnover the ball quite a few times. And the Spurs are a great defensive team and should of been able to stop TMac.
As a Tmac fan I would love to say that Tmacs 13 poinst in 35 seconds was teh better feat, However I do know that what Kobe Bryant did is above that accomplishment. What Kobe did has only been done by one other man, arguably a top 5 player of all time. Tmac other than those 33 seconds had a horrendous game, while Kobe was consistant throughout and singlehandedly led the Lakers to victory
I am really tempted to say Kobe Bryant because he had 81 points and the second greatest scoring performance of all time. But I have to go with T-Mac with no disrespect to Kobe he had an amazing game and all but I just don't see how T-Mac scored 13 points in 35 seconds, that is just unbelievable to me. He hit 4 three's and they were all right in someone's face and the game winner was a great pull up shot. The one he made on Duncan though was the best one by far he jumped in the air and Duncan hacked him and when he was on his way down he threw it up and somehow made it. I was a Spurs fan and this haunted me but I have to give huge props to T-Mac for pulling off that feat.

Kobes team was losing and he rose them to victory. He was able to do anything that game that he wanted to do, and everything was amazing. 81 is 2nd on the All-Time list in points in a game, and I just think that it was more impressive. I also like the fact that it was over a full game and not just at the end. It was a very clutch performance by T-Mac, one of the best ever, but I will give it to Kobe.
Most definitely Kobe's 81 point game. The second greatest scoring output from any player to play in the NBA. Just an amazing game. T-mac's 13 points in 35 seconds was pretty impressive though.

The topic is T-mac's 13 in 35 seconds against Kobe's 81...not any moment all-time.
One of the few times but, I am actually favouring with Kobe. What he did was amazing. Yes, TMac's 13 was amazing. But, any player could do that if he worked his ass off. Enough said?

No, they cannot, and we have seen nothing like it except Reggie at MSG.

I think it would be easier to get 13 points in that amount of time than 81 in a game. He went hot at the end of the game and the situation was perfect...
I dont mean that they could get 13 in 35... Yes, that is truly trememendous and It probably will not be seen again. But, is what I meant is that any player in the NBA. As an okay shooter. Could easily step up. Hustle his ass off. And, drop 10 points in a minute-two minutes. Or even create fast breaks for other players.
Yeah, but you basically said that any player could do what Tracy did if he worked his ass off, which isnt true at all. Sure, players can score 10 points in 2 minutes, but that isnt what Tracy did at all. He scored 13 in 35 seconds against the best defense in the NBA, with arguably the best perimeter defender in the NBA on him. What he did wont happen for 15 years. That is great and all...But what Kobe did wont be done for 30 years. hah

It isn't like he was getting open shots, each one was basically a heavily contested 3.
I can't agree with LeBron and Wade at this particular time being able to do it as they can't catch on fire from the outside, especially Wade. Kobe and Arenas that I can see. Also, all three of those COULD drop 81.
Wade can catch fire from the outside. It has happenned before. And he can get to the basket and get fouled just as easy as any player in the league. I could see Wade getting 13 in 35 as well as most in the NBA. And Lebron could definaltey do it. He is a very streaky shooter, but when he is on, his shot is crazy good. He could do it also. And we all know Gilbert would be as good as anybody at doing it.You say that any of those 3 guys could do it, but what is the closest they have gotten to 81?
I don't think I have ever seen Wade come close to catching on fire from the three point line and LeBron has but not to the ability of scoring 13 in 35 secs against someone like the Spurs.Well, Arenas just recently got 60 against the Lakers and 54 against Utah. T-mac came across 63 couple years ago and if anyone he has the biggest chance of scoring 81. Wade and LeBron both have young careers to say what their closest to 81 will be but LeBron did also have 56 at Toronto.
