I am by no means giving up on him, but let's trade him. I still love the deal on draft night we moved Raef and we didn't need Foye, and I personally don't think he will be a superstar like some. The fact of the matter is we don't need Telfair. West and Rondo are the future, I LOVE both of them. We need a veteran big and Telfair is pretty much not a factor for this team and I am sure their are some teams out there that would love to have him. Thoughts, ideas?

I agree that Telfair needs to be traded. Maybe the Knicks would want him. I really don't care about what we get for him. He's been a huge disappointment. Trading him for Brandon Roy is one of the best steals in draft history.

Was he really doing that bad earlier this year when he was actually playing? I didnt watch like a span of 5 games and all of a sudden he stopped playing when I went back to watching them again. I think he has talent, but he still has alot to learn. He just isnt as good of a defender as Rondo or Delonte which definitely hurts him. They might as well trade him. I guarantee that some teams are going to be interested in him. He is only like 21 and he is a talented person.

Have to agree with ballerman he just isn't quite ready for the NBA yet but he has a lot of potential and he is so young that he will have tons of time to improve. He should have gone to Louisville where Rick Pitino could have developed his game tons while he was there.

I agree that trading Bassy is best for the Celtics and Sebastian. Rondo is clearly the future and Delonte will always be a very nice role player and personality to have around. Bassy still has potential though, I don't think as low of him as WTJ does. He will have a solid career, IMO, but Boston isn't the place. I like the kid. He has heart and he is a good playmaker in up-tempo situations.

The problem is that Bassy's trade value is at its lowest right now. I don't know what exactly we'd get for him. I mean you'd have to package him with someone else in order to get something decent in return, and I don't know what exactly is out there right now. Things can get crazy around the deadline, however, so we'll see if Danny can get something done. But, of course, with our current draft position it may be best to stand pat until the summer time (if the draft is the route Danny is taking, which is the right route of Oden and/or Durant come out).

What about moving Telfair and Scals for Steven Hunter? The Sixers have already tried to move him for free and he is a decent young athletic 7 footer. The Sixers need a young point.

I wouldn't do that. We can package Bassy in a bigger deal for something better than Steven Hunter. There's a reason Philly has been shopping him for a year.

No one that I can work out "doesn't like him", we all just think it would be best for him and the C's to trade him to a team that could make more use of him. Damn we need a good center...
