You might wanna look in the mirror bro. You're very defensive and at this point just looking for things to hate Trump for. Very reminiscent of people who wouldn't give Obama credit for anything.

It is odd to me that you would want to vote for a President and tell them how to do their job and what that job requires.

You are taking a quote that was in response to one that said "I'm with stupid" from another poster. And, yup, like everyone else on the planet I don't like it when people call me stupid - if that's considered defensive then I'm guilty as charged.

So you're saying that we shouldn't have an opinion about how The President should do their job and what it requires?

when it come to Trump, somebody has to do this....he's doesn't have the skillset..that's obvious. my only hope is that someone with a clue drives the car while he's tweeting about SNL....I'm waiting to see if he can untangle the bullshit and get to work but not holding my breath. Obama was sure under the microscope...Trump can expect more of the same

I get what she wrote. But she's still suggesting Pence will do the job and that Bodyman would be fine with it.

Neither one would be correct to assume Pence is going to be a Cheney-style VP.

Trump said he was too smart to need daily intelligence briefings but Mike Pence would take those briefings everyday....I think it's not Spud suggesting it...Trump already said so himself..

Show me a quote that he said that.

    This seems more accurate :)

    http://www.politico.com/story/2016/12/trump-briefings-232479

President-elect Donald Trump said he does not need to receive the presidential intelligence briefing every day, suggesting in an interview aired Sunday that such briefings are repetitive and he is happy to rely on those around him on matters of intelligence and national security.

Trump has been given the daily intelligence briefing just a handful of times since winning the White House last month, alarming some in the national security community. But those briefings do not always change day to day, Trump told “Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace in an interview taped over the weekend. And when he does receive the briefing, Trump said he always instructs those offering him the information to contact him should new developments emerge.

“You know, I'm, like, a smart person. I don't have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day for the next eight years. Could be eight years — but eight years. I don't need that,” Trump said. “But I do say, ‘If something should change, let us know.’”

.....like I said....Pence will let him know...Trump will decide if he wants to listen or not...he might need to see Kanye West first

I'd prefer he doesn't waste an hour (or whatever) of each day going over the same information over and over. I'd prefer he doesn't bother to strategize about where to go to war next.

EDIT: you said he said he's too smart to take the briefings, and that's not what he said.

Okay, apparently I am still confusing people... one more time:

I am not suggesting I have a clue how Mike Pence will spend his day or what kind of VP he will be.

Bodyman wrote he would be fine if Pence took the daily briefings and went on to note that people who suggested otherwise were bitching about things that don't matter.

You are making assumptions here, Denny, not me.

President-elect Donald Trump said in an interview on “Fox News Sunday” that as president, he will not take the daily intelligence briefings that his presidential predecessors have received.

Trump told Fox News host Chris Wallace that the few briefings he has received during his transition have been repetitive, and he would take the briefings “when I need it” during his time in office. He said Vice President-elect Mike Pence would receive the briefings instead, along with two of his cabinet picks, retired generals James Mattis and John Kelly.

    This is getting ridiculous.

I'd be fine if he asked ME to do the daily briefings.

I'd just like one rational, well thought out hypothetical situation where something unfathomable will happen if Trump doesn't sit through these briefings every day for the foreseeable future.

I also seem to recall saying that I was speaking about the time before he takes office but I'd rather not read through this mess again.

nice try....he said he's a smart guy and doesn't need to take them...but I don't think he's as smart as you do....you got that right...I'm not his advisor

This is like debating a birther about Obama, people are unhinged. I'll admit I didn't read what the poor girl has to say about Trump but this screenshot from a minute ago made me laugh.

Read the next headline below the one about the MONSTER that is Donald Trump.

It's more about the context of how his quotes are presented that are an issue. When people say, "Trump says he's too smart to need briefings," the obvious intentional implication is that Trump is arrogant and thinks he's smarter than all the presidents before him. However, if you read his quote in context, it's clear that he's just saying that he thinks repetitive briefings are excessive, and he simply wants to be informed of material changes.

Can you advise what, if anything, is wrong with that?
