I'm watching ESPN right now and some lady announced that Kobe Bryant, Vince Carter, Michael Jordan, Julius Erving and Dominique Wilkins will judge the contest. Is that true? I mean, I believe her, but I don't think anyone here would believe that until it's all said and done. I mean, those are the top 5 dunkers of all-time judging the 2007 dunk contest. Insane.

That's weird they usually have analysts and former players judging contests not current players.

I think this is kind of a bad idea because they might judge with kind of a "I could of done that easily" attitude

I'm praying that this dunk contest will not be garbage because with those guys judging, you'd expect the contest itself to be dope, too.

I think that is sweet! They know this contest isnt about them and I think they will be great judges who know all the techniques of dunking

Wow that is pretty unusual that kobe and vince are judging since they are current players. I don't think a player has ever judged the dunk contest while still playing in the NBA at that time, but I am not sure.

Well, this dunk contest is going to suck more than last years considering the only guy in it I actually want to see is Gerald Green. Hopefully these judges don't F*ck it up like they did last year.

This is awesome. I hope that it is more deserving to whoever wins this year unlike last year.

Well, I know that Kobe likes Gerald Green, so maybe that could help him a bit! [IMG] But this is pretty sick, and surprising. I would have never expected that they'd have two current players doing this. Man, I can't wait for All-Star weekend.

The judges were a big surprise, especially Jordan. It would be sweet if all the judges at their prime were in a dunk contest .

If that is true, it is a bad idea. The players might be biased or something. They just need some judges that will not take favourites, and call it the correct way.
