Wouldn't being stressed out about returning to prison be a good thing?

I'm stressed out about a lot of things. But I wouldn't drive erratically and then resist arrest. I don't know what the fuck these people are thinking. Since when has resisting arrest EVER EVER EVER worked in favor of someone?

They still go to jail. They still get booked. And they still get charged.

Next time, take the ticket, shut the fuck up, and argue your case in court.

This goes back to one of the many things that I have always said: don't draw attention to yourself. In other words, don't drive erratically into snow banks while almost hitting a bicyclist.

Also, I'm willing to bet that this wasn't a certified "Service Dog". It was just a pet.

They're trying to use emotion to win you over with this sob story. He was a sex offender who wasn't following the rules of his parole, which was why he was being arrested. Don't fall for the family's sob story.

I was just wondering if going on disability has become a thing now for ex-cons?

I admit my knowledge on that particular aspect of things is lacking. However, having been on disability, I can tell you that it is very unlikely that ex-cons or sex offenders are allowed disability, unless there are very specific circumstances where they are injured while performing legal, hired work, and where they are not at fault. I recall asking my rep about it once, and she told me no; but I can't remember the specifics of her answer.

There actually is no legitimate certification for service animals. An animal can be certified that they are trained to perform a specific service. A certification that an animal is a service animal is merely a worthless piece of paper. It is not required. Companies that sell these things are really scams or services utilized by people trying to pass their pet as a service animal. People with PTSD typically use service animals to alert them to dangers allowing them to be less vigilant and to generally help them negotiate crowds.

Convicted Californian pedophile. Can't say he'll be missed at all by any Bendites.

Bend has some really great police personnel. I've only met one dangerously psychotic one, but he's still around.

Waiting to hear who the officers involved were.

Agree with most of your post. But he wasn't following rules of parole because he was NOT on parole. He moved to Oregon after he was off parole.

I see. I was not aware of that; thank you.

I wonder if he was registered with his Sheriff's office though. Not registering is a sure-fire way back to prison.
