Rousey was paid 3 million dollars for this fight, compared to Nunes getting $200,000. I never understood what the big deal was about Rousey. She won her first 6 ufc fights but many fighters have done that. I don't think she really had much charisma. I hate that scowly little troll face she makes.
Same here. She was raised to Cult-like status by fighting glorified soccer moms, and instead of being humble and continuing to grow, she let her ego and her personality get WAAAAY to big. Then along comes Holm, who's a REAL fighter, with actual skills, and she gets humiliated. And then along comes Nunes, a REAL fighter, with actual skills, and it's not even a fight. Fuck Rousey. In watching the clip that @speeds was kind enough to post for us, one thing that struck me...the same thing that struck me with her fight against Holm....is how terrible her footwork is. Her legs are WAY too stiff and close together. If she fixes that, she might have a chance. But if she doesn't, then she might as well not even bother anymore, and go back to doing D-rated movies and chatting it up with Ellen.
