PLAYOFFS? WE'RE TALKING ABOUT PLAYOFFS? PLAYOFFS?
I think the question is, did K-Love ever lead Minny to a .500 record?

Sorry but I just look at the level of play of the specific player and not the level of play of other players in the same conference playing the same position.

last year was an outlier if you take into account win totals and injuries and what not. Thats not his fault but I think youre going to have a much tougher time making the playoffs this year at 500 ball.

Outlier? LMAO there are injuries every year. We've had an insanely tough schedule, and will probably finish with the same record in a tighter conference with Lillard putting up better stats.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Curry, Paul, Harden, Westbrook and Antetokounmpo. And before you say, again, that Harden and Antetokounmpo aren't point guards, they've clearly taken on that role this year for their teams. D'Antoni specifically said before the season began that he was going to play Harden as the point guard and he might average 15 assists. Well, he's only averaging 12. So much for D'Antoni's hyperbole!

As for Antetokounmpo, Jason Kidd said this prior to this season:

They are point guards. Their coaches specifically said they're playing them as point guards. They're fulfilling that role on offense. It doesn't matter what you think they are, or were in past seasons.

And beyond those five, I'd rate Kyrie Irving as basically equal to Lillard.

I totally agree if lillard wasnt LEADING THE LEAGUE in minutes played he'd be MUCH more effective and would push into my top-3. but he cant sustain that type of effort together consistently in the 82 game marathon that is the nba.

    Nevermind what people want.
But you have looked at the standings recently right?
Noticed there are 7 teams in the west playing above .500 ball
The rest of them are all barely .400 and under right?

So you believe one of them other than the Blazers will make the leap to .550? - .600?

    ...just not on defense.

(Couldn't resist. Fact is, I love it when it's Lillard Time as much as anyone. But we have been shockingly bad this year. We LEAD THE LEAGUE in minutes spent with the other team leading by 20 or more. Not much Lillard Time in those situations. Hard to enjoy anything except maybe scrubs getting a chance to play. Hoping that he comes back with a vengeance, but right now it hurts his case that we have been more competitive without him. In fact, Aminu has been more of a factor in terms of his absence or presence affecting the team performance than Lillard. (Ooh, that'll get me some grief.))

I havent looked but I was making a more historical argument from seasons past. you usually needed 44-46 wins to get in right?

Yeah, Sacramento being at 8th right now and 6 games under .500 surely means that is finishing 6 games over .500 means we won't get the 8th seed......

What do you mean "is" better? Context is everything, and Hill has helped his team do better than Lillard has helped his. Would I bet on Lillard in a HORSE contest? Of course.

Lillard is the guy the best defenders in the league double up on night in and night out...and still goes out and gives you 30 pts and 6 assists...he gets tired without help but good news is....the role players are playing better now

By this logic you could be making the argument of Beverly over Lillard.
