Not if we get Butler. Also, probably not even if we don't get Butler. But hopefully CHI wouldn't think about that!

And a player to build around and a small forward.

    Would Atlanta want Crabbe?

    Leonard?

    Harkless?

    Vonleh?

Could use Davis or Ezeli to help match salaries as well.

    Something like

Leonard, Vonleh, Ezeli/Davis, and a lottery protected first for millsap.

    Then Crabbe for Noel.

The more I think about the more sense millsap makes for our team. Millsap compliments Plumlee well in theory, even tho neither is a rim protector. i also think we can put together a more attractive package than Toronto, plus I'm pretty sure our draft pick will be higher.

LOL, I doubt if the feeling is mutual. At which point it starts to sound like a 3 month rental, which means it will probably happen knowing the way things are run in SAC.

I wanted Millsap back in July. I've been saying it forever, but this team needs to add some 2-way players. We have way to many one-trick-ponies on this roster. You can get away with a few specialists, but you actually need a couple players that are significantly better than average on both sides of the ball if you ever want to go far in the playoffs.

Sounds like a bidding war for Millsap.

Smart on them to not offer more because little to no chance he would resign with them. But of course that means the Pelicans shouldn't even submit an offer.

I wouldn't offer much if I ran the Trail Blazer either. Meyers and CLE's 1st (plus Pat if needed for salary match) is most I would go for the same worry. I think he would ultimately consider us but he also is probably getting max and he is much too old to spend that much on. We would also be playing super Lux Tax in that case and he probably only gets us 1 round deeper. Worth it? Maybe as a fan but not financially for the team.

Offers aren't going to be huge for him around the league imo.
