I only mainly post in game threads during games I manage to catch. Other than that I will post occasionally if I'm bored. As for what I do? I get paid to watch after slypokerdog. Someones gotta puppysit after him.
That's not accurate at all. I'm a big fan of Michio, listen to his weekly podcast. Read all his books and got to meet once at Powell's bookstore. One of the great minds of our generation. Give him a listen, some of his guests are mind blowing. Website: http://mkaku.org/ Weekly radio show/podcast: https://kpfa.org/program/exploration/
I may have him mistaken with another article...thought it was him...color theory on climate change took me to his Wikipedia link so I assumed he was the guy..happened about a dozen years ago ...my wife and I talked about it ...sorry if I linked misinformation....just a first shot guess at the source
I have listened to him, he visited the college I taught at in eastern Taiwan....this was long before the theory I was trying to link...I haven't read much by him but he's a brilliant dude
I think I'm on here more than anyone. I am a preschool teacher during the day but sneak on throughout the day mostly to argue with @Denny Crane, @blue32, @MARIS61, @MarAzul, and all the other conservative peeps in the OT....then of course after work im on all the time.
During the day I ship this type of stuff out and this is some of the smaller things. I ship oversized piloted loads internationally. Second tier shipping manager. At night....
I wonder this very same thing. I do check in but as far as posting? It's just too time consuming for the most part. Unless i am on vacation at which time i usually don't want to sit on the computer.
Multi-tasking. Like, for example, I can have a dream that I forgot where I parked my car, walk most of the way home during a rain storm AND wake up stressed because I forgot it was a dream and wasn't reality. See? two tasks at once! I was able to re-charge my batteries AND stress out over something that didn't happen.
That is really difficult to figure. It is all custom cut and machined so you really can't just go buy it. I bought the property with trees needed to produce the material, about 40,000 lineal feet of lumber in several different dimensions. So about 50,000 for trees, 100,000 for milling and log handling equipment, 15,000 for shop to dry (kiln) and store the material, and about two years work to get er done. Then the building can start, not cheap either.
Very impressive. When you said working on your boat, I assumed upkeep. Not that you have built from scratch.
Yeah, it is easier these days, not really a big deal. She has been on three cruises now, what I call shakedown cruises. Each has resulted in me making some modifications or up grades. Not really big stuff now. The Fourth will begin this coming spring, down to the Sacramento delta, I think. This will check out the latest changes. I think it is nearing completion.
