Some fire protection actually is federal, but whatever. So you'd be fine with single-payer, as long as it was done at the state or local level? barfo
Fire and police aren't single payer. But if they were, they may be a rare exception to any objections I have with creating a too powerful state. If it is to be done, the municipal or county level is the place to implement it.
Clinton: I never had sex with that woman. Clinton 2.0: I never sent classified information from my private account. Obama: If you like your doctor... Things politicians say aren't always how things happen. But I do agree it's on Trump to extract the cost of his wall from Mexico.
I see Sly's opinion, but perhaps you have something to give me a clue what a Liberal Republican does?
Yep, I still think he will extract some of the cost from the money sent back to Mexico by workers here in the US. But I also think he has already taken a huge cut of it, simply with the factories that will not now be built in Mexico. Carrier, Ford...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liberal_Republican_Party_(United_States) In Laymen's terms: A Republican is someone who wants small government and low taxes. A liberal is someone who believes in individual liberties and freedoms. Someone who wants small government and low taxes could easily be a liberal. I am a liberal republican in that sense. A liberal Republic differs from a Conservative republican in a few ways ,but none more so prominent than ideals on Global Warming and Humans effects on the planet. Jeb Bush and John McCain would have been one. Roosevelt would have been one.
Nixon was a liberal republican. What's called a "liberal" today isn't for individual freedom, they're for individual mandates.
I would recommend you take the time to apply to be accepted into the system. Even if you do not plan to use it. I felt just like you expressed before Obama fucked me over. Thankfully, I had already been accepted into the VA system a couple years prior. It took about a year to get accepted.
Let's see, FDR, Nixon, Bush, McCain are the examples. Geez! I would never vote for any of these, and I had my chance on all but FDR whom I find to have been mostly a socialist until he was over taken by feeble mindedness. Not quite sure where to place that point in history. I really prefer a representative that will follow the original intent of the Constitution. That usually is a Republican Libertarian whom keeps his religion mostly private and rarely invokes god except when speaking of peoples rights. (Rand Paul comes to mind) (FDR and follow the Constitution can't be used in the same conversation.).
What I want in Leader is different than what I want in a Representative. First and foremost the Leader must have the unusual character and charisma to naturely attract the followers. If he doesn't have this then it doesn't matter what else he brings. Rand Paul was my first choice in this election, but he failed to demonstrate this quality right up front in the contest. Donald Trump took the ball and never gave it up. So far Trump, talks the talk of following the Constitution, leaving Americans with their liberty, and will see that the laws are enforced. Wonderful, no complaints to date, what so ever.
Not everyone is correct on all levels of every type of ideal ( religion, education, military, social aid, etc), but you just said it. You prefer a Republican Libertarian. A Liberal Republican. I bet we are closer in thinking than not. Much like music genres of today. Too many individual thinkers have created confusion among the terms of represented beliefs of government and politics. Its like, is it Alternative punk Rock or is it Punk ALternative?
Classical music is now broken down into more category than I care for. Country music is the same. Take your music of choice and its watered down and over defined. Quality music is quality music.
