Anyone here see the game televised with the two Mikes, who are I guess the regular Blazers announcing team. I get a lot of different local channels via satellite but this pair are the bar-none worst announcing team I've ever heard. Even by the standards of local announcers they are shamefully biased and some of the nonsense that comes out of their mouths - my favourite tonight: "They're making Phoenic pass the ball, and Phoenix doesn't like to pass."Words fail me - I had to run it back to make sure that's really what he said.Or maybe it was just an off night? It's the first time I've heard them - to be fair one of them was the worst offender, sort of a cartoonish scratchy voice. Didn't catch which Mike he was. But jeezuz, really.Anyway, the Suns looked terrible without Steve, very ordinary. We need to ditch Banks and Burke any way possible - all those nights of Burke coming in to hoist threes as the clock runs out seem to have left him unable to actually play the game. Banks just looks like he wandered into the building and found himself on the court in uniform. Any thoughts on trades for these guys and maybe draft picks? This team needs a bench it can trust.

I absolutely hate Pat Burke!!!!!! Banks is cool though. He is sometimes good. Not totally reliable, but somewhat. I would say to trade them both for some draft picks...we need a better third string center and a backup pg for Nash.

Why make this thread when Burke had a nice game and the offense was working very well without Nash? I'm just fine with Burke, we don't need a stud as our 11th man. Banks needs to go...we need to find a more reliable bench player because our starters need some rest.

I just bought a 'Fight Me I'm Irish' shirt. I wanna get to a game and wear it and then meet Pat. :DBut no, we don't have 'the Mikes'. We have Tom Leander and other guy that I forgot, Dan Majerle usually and they're good enough.

I can't get any of the Phoenix home telecast but I recall Dan M. doing some guest commentary on other broadcasts and he was pretty good, knowlegeable and interesting in what he pointed out that non-players wouldn't have noticed. He seemed to be one of the better players-turned-broadcasters.I always liked Bill Russell's work as well.If you ever get chance to watcha game form Portland withtheir home announcers, it worth it for comedy value. As I say the one guy is not so bad but the second seems to have suffered a serious head injury or something.

ASU Fan - from what I saw in the first half Burke missed two or three shots from literally inches away from the rim, lost the ball a few times and came close to getting hit on the head by a rebound. Other than that, he did well. At least he didn't take any three's.

He had a couple turnovers but he didn't miss either shot he took and a couple rebounds in under 5 minutes was decent. His defense was okay. He's not that good but as an 11th man, and our 3rd center, I have no problem with him. He's supposedly a very hard worker in practices and having a funny guy in the locker room can be good for a team.

Okay then - I'll bow to your judgement on this. Maybe I was expecting too much - So who's the backup centre, if he's third and Amare's #1, and who's the 12th man>No tthat I'll ever see the guy play given Coach D's short rotation.Jim

Just a thought, which struck watching Burke but applies to a lot of guys in the NBA - aren't there a lot of big men who don't seem to jump or even have their hands up for offensive borads. I see these guys more or less just standing there waiting for it to come to them. My coach would have had us running laps until our sneakers burned off. It's ojne of those thaings that, once you notice it, you see it everywhere.
