Some Magic players were interviewed today that played him Amaechi and they have nothing wrong about him being gay except him being a great teammate. I haven't heard or seen this guy play before. Is he any good? And how many years have he been in the league.</div>he was in the NBA for five years with career averages of 6 ppg and 3 rpg
Re: John Amaechi is the NBA's first open homosexual. This'll be interesting to see how this plays outhttp://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?p...mp;lid=tab4pos1Some stuff about him.
Re: John Amaechi is the NBA's first open homosexual. I don't have a problem with him coming out and I just hope more NBA players would come out if they're gay. I don't really have a problem with gays, I heard someone say its not really a choice to be gay, you can't really control it and that's just how it is, if you're gay then you're gay all I care about is what you do on the court. I have a gay guy in my PE class and really doesn't bother me that he dresses in the same lockeroom or whatever, they're people too and I just think people have to start acting mature and get over it. No one is sure yet but all my teammates from my freshman bball team thought one of our teammates were gay or at least bi, no one brought it up or made a big deal about it just go and handle your business like regularly.
