Thing is, We are getting new windows on the whole house. Was told not to paint until those are all installed.
Hey! I can set you up in style, right on the waterfront, trotting distance to the Pearl. Take tender to the Garden side too, no traffic. Life would be good!
I'm not sure if Home Depot is reliable for much. This afternoon I purchased a brand new propane tank for an outdoor heater. I fought I5 traffic home and went to have it filled at the local gas station. It wouldn't fill! The attendant was competent and tried everything he could (just to be sure, he filled another customer's tank while I stood there). The valve on my tank didn't work right. So I fought traffic back to HD and returned it for another. This time I checked to see if the valve opened. It didn't, and neither did any other in the stack of new tanks(???). So I asked for assistance/advice. Now I want to make it very clear that I have always genuinely admired HD for being so willing to hire the physically and mentally disabled. But please don't use them for technical assistance. Anyway, after a long and frustrating back and forth with a really nice guy with some verifiable short term memory issues and befuddlement in general, I finally asked for a manager. This guy was not disabled but was just about as useless. Finally I started to walk away with refund in hand. Before I reached the door, the manager offered me one of their pre-filled "swap" tanks for the price I paid for the new empty tank. Being the prick I am, I agreed as long as they gave me the most new like tank in the lock up, because my original idea was to avoid forking out for someone else's used tank. So they made it right (and threw in free propane) but only because they didn't know what else to do. It was a frustrating pain in the ass. But from my experience, seems to be HD's "normal"......
Brah, stop talking to the old folk like they know what urban dictionary is. Their heads will explode.
That is a BMW fool. Btw, new windows were my favorite upgrade, no more ugly aluminum, double panes, the tree frogs are not that loud now. Supposed to be good for efficiency too, remember to run an air leak test of you want to really ensure the house is well insulated.
I'd love to see this. Tough enough to get Pops to set a toe down in Cali for a vacay, let alone move there (can't blame him for refusing the latter).
Couldn't find an image of a loft with Range Rover in it, my bad. Ya our old house is DAMN cold with our old windows.......and HOT! Just in the wrong seasons.
Like they've said before, electricians and plumbers are your friends. Learn to tile Figure out the quickest route to your hardware store Take it one room at a time. If you don't know what is behind one of your walls, there's only one way to find out.
There is a study that says each kid costs $230k. The impact of kids on bees....is much greater. Bees are dying at an alarming rate.
Doing some major research last night. Started thinking we may remodel the kitchen and bathroom later down the line. Father in law is really making some great points about while the roof is off to open the upstairs up with a dormer. Add a bathroom and walk in closet while it's open.
