I used to get real sick, flu-style maybe once a winter for years. Small colds here and there. Then started getting a big daddy flu shot every Halloween for the past 8 years or so. Haven't been sick since. Wonder how it works, but it does.
I had a cold for 3 weeks that turned into bronchitis last month. I'm sure working 14 hour days in the snow didn't help.
Slow growing cancer, your immune system is fighting it so you don't get sick as often. I'd get looked at if I were you.
the cia sprays everyone down with flu and cold bacteria after the election to keep the protesters at bay.
Haven't been sick for a long time, then I read this thread. Today I wake up with a sore throat that feels like someone is stabbing me from inside my esophagus. I blame you, @SlyPokerDog. Don't know how, but I blame you.
about 6 years ago when I just started dating my wife from long distance. I got strep throat and was texting her between fever bouts. I texted: "Oh my god this fever is terrible." it auto corrected to "oh my god this feces is terrible" I discovered my typo after waking up from a 4 hour fever sleep, with a reaction from her along the lines of "are you ok? I think you should call the doctor."
Everything Uncle Cliffy's Dad said is good EXCEPT the disinfectant wipes. According to CDC they do not prevent spread of colds and may do the opposite. The Environmental Working Group rates Lysol wipes D and some of the ingredients F. Because they contain pesticides and other bad smelling chemicals they are loaded with perfume to cover the smell, which is itself a respiratory irritant and suspected neurotoxin. To disinfect surfaces, half white vinegar/half water in spray bottle does a good job. If you want to really disinfect, wait 5 minutes, then spray with hydrogen peroxide. (For raw chicken use 10% bleach, I am talking basic counters though.) Both are cheap and non-toxic. And you don't have tons of wipes going into landfill. That being said, hope you feel better. I hear there is a really nasty flu going around this year. Sadly, sick leave may be repealed by the Congress. If you can, stay home. Eat chicken soup. Drink tea. Lie down with a cat on your chest for warmth.
This is one of those social media moments I never can get. If I like your post does that mean I support you in how you feel, or that I like that you feel even worse today?
I haven't had a cold, flu, or even a serious sniffle in 4 or 5 years. That's one of the benefits of having an autoimmune disease (Lupus). My immune system is in overdrive.
I know someone who just died of pneumonia last week because he didn't bother going to the doctor until it was too late. Get yourself checked.
Just got home from the dcotors. My flu turned into a bacterial infection. Antibiotics and Muscilin....the diet of the day.
Just woke up in a giant ball of sweat. Guessing my fever broke. But I feel a little better. Pounding juice and soup.
