I am the biggest CJ fan there is. I dont want to see either one of them to leave. I just get tired of people say CJ has to go to get a big name back. Why? CJ is the better player. Everyone has to get their .09 blinders off. But that being said i wish it was possible to keep both and get a ring. Its about rings.

It's hard to deny one of the top ten plays in NBA history. How do you give up on a guy who did that in your home floor?

He doesn't actually "follow" me on twitter, but I think I brought him here from twitter, so it's almost the same thing.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
I don't disagree with you, but I don't think Olshey thinks that way. And, in reality, neither the Cavs nor the Warriors are invincible. If the Cavs swapped places in the West with the Warriors, I wouldn't consider them locks to reach the Finals and the Warriors are an injury or two from being mortal in a series. I'm not suggesting that you bank on injuries, but it's probably not a great idea to just give up on the next five years or so.

I think it would be a fascinating deal to trade Lillard for Simmons. I don't know if it would work, but it would certainly be bold. I'd rather target someone like Butler or Cousins, though, and continue building something in the present.

    Good analogy.

Trading Dame for Simmons & Okafor, plus plugging the holes with this year’s draft picks would take time to recuperate. But I do not think it would take 5 seasons. I think that roster with CJ + role players would be scary good in 2-3 seasons. But they would still be young enough to keep improving. The 2020 or 2021 finals could be Blazers vs 76ers. Dame makes the finals game, just on a different team.

Probably the 2nd one because I absolutely don't understand it but it doesn't really piss me off, it's more so annoying

Again, I want to stress that I have no idea how Olshey thinks. Not sure how anyone else can. Olshey is running a rudderless ship.

Reason: Olshey’s tactics have gone from being a low end bargain hunter to drowning mediocre bench players with piles of money.

Now that Olshey has painted himself into a corner with bad long term contracts, who knows what he might do next to save his job?

That's not freaking out, that was a detailed explanation as to not trading both. You just wanna act like you know the voice behind the words but you don't, you're just assuming but okay

Trade dame for Jeff withey. Please. Or Langston Galloway. These are the players we need and dame isn't good, he just sucks. Dame has obviously been the problem and I'm so glad the same person made a million trade dame threads because the word needs to be spread. #getourfranchisestaroutnow

I'm following more. And shame on you for devoting time to anything other than us!!!!

When you try to mock the op with a sas and tone in text it is perceived as either you being very frustrated or very rude. Just sayin. Most of us have been there, no biggy but you went off on the op trying to mock when you say "gun to your head durrrrr"
Borderline saying the op is being idiotic.

It was mostly a joke but there is also truth to it. I have seen this guy make a shit ton of pointless threads like this mostly relating to dame and cj. So yeah it gets annoying after the 5th thread in a month from the same dude. Doesn't ruin my day, it's just annoying. You can be annoyed without being angry you know. I just think people that wanna trade dame are as lost as the team. So instead I'm now going to say ridiculous shit on threads which propose trading the two, especially dame.

If people say things you don't like, you've decided that the best solution is to spout ridiculousness until they fall in line with your way of thinking?

    How very "Trumpy" of you.

And what does somebody like trump have anything to do with this? I swear some people on here have lost their minds, you're tripping over something you didn't even hear me say so you don't know the tone in which it was said. You act like I said it in some serious angry manner. I don't really care, I just said I'm gonna troll threads like this now. Not a big deal. Also ironic you bring up trump though because in the OT section this guy has a history of making the same threads over and over again just with minor twists to them. But yeah I don't understand what politics have to do with a proposed lillard trade, good on you though

Stay on target, bud. Read what I actually wrote, and respond to the content. That's how conversations work.

The tactic you're championing--trolling threads with whose content you disagree--is similar to the style of a bombastic politician who simply shouts down detractors without legitimately addressing counterpoints. Neither method elevates the discussion. Both simply seek to stifle the exchange of ideas.

If you disagree with my statement, feel free to explain why.

Seems to me like you're the one being confrontational. Starts by saying I was being trumpy and then a follow up calling me "bud" as if you have some personal issue with me. You think I'm trying to make people think the way I think? No not really at all. I expressed my own personal opinion on here just like everybody else on the first page. It's also a personal opinion that I think the trade dame narrative is insane. Oh well though. Doesn't matter because it's not gonna happen nor should it. Seems to me you're the one taking this too seriously after I said some things pretty loosely and explained I wasn't but being completely serious and that should be pretty obvious by my all caps "durrr". Trolling as in ridiculous proposals like dame for a shitty player not any trolling that does harm.

Congrats though in the end you kinda revealed your self by calling me trumpy and you are obviously still hurt by the tremendous loss Hillary took. That's a whole different conversation though

Several posters tried this mode of communication in the O-Live forum. It's now a complete joke. Just sayin'
