Would you rather take the Portland Jail-Blazers of the early 21st century, or the current Indiana Pacers with all their dysfunctionality?Even with Ron Artest and Stephen Jackson gone, Jamaal Tinsley and Maquis Daniels are still facing charges. So go ahead, take your pick.
WTF?Why does everyone say we're the Portland Jailblazers version 2? Sure, we have some bad characters, but he whole team is not a riot like Portland was. Jermaine O'neal is one of the nicest athletes you'll ever see and he donates lots of money and time to charities. Just last month he won an award for helping the community so much. Maybe since you guys don't live in Indiana you don't relize how much he helps but for us Hoosiers we see his effect pretty much every day.And when was the last time Foster, Murphy, Dunleavy, or Granger did something wrong?

This isn't close, half the Blazers roster was trouble...it's only a couple players on the Pacers...and two of their bad boys have been let go.
Well I would take the Blazers because they actually had talent and had a chance despite a mental breakdown against the Lakers. But they were the worse team in terms of troublemakers.
Well, if you took the Pacers over the last few seasons, and the trailblazers of the early 21st centery, I think it would be kinda close....The whole brawl incident was a really big deal, and the biggest thing I remember happenning with the blazers was either drug incidents, or when Darius Miles cussed out his coach in a meeting. As an overall team, the Trailblazers were much worse, but guys like Stephen Jackson while he was in Indy was pretty damn bad. And this years night club incidents havent helped either...It still is the Blazers though.

And in the 10 or so games before the brawl we were off to a real good start. Our roster was:tinsleyjacksonartesto'nealfosterthat was a great line-up. I remember watching our games and wondering if there was any way you could find a better team. then there was the brawl.but if our Indy team had stayed together we would have probably made the finals by now.
The Blazers have had a lot more trouble than the Pacers and plus a couple of troublemakers on the Pacers got traded away and are gone.

Stoudamire, Sheed, Pippen, Sabonis, Anthony, Smith, Grant, Schrempf, Wells, Augmon and even O'Neal. That was a talented roster.
When a Pacer player shows the cops a basketball card as identification than I might consider saying they are disfunctional, right now they are just troubled. the Pacers do need to do something about what night clubs their guys goto.

Blazers still have a bad rep from that, even though all our players now (perhaps not including zach randolph) are class acts. yeah id take the pacers. they dont have as much talent, but at least they're not stoned or wife beaters

And note there wasnt one of your "trouble" makers on that team. The Blazers although were always in the news because of off court problems were in fact very good. This team ran into the "Destiny, Dynasty" Lakers year in year out in a much harder western conference. Let's just not dismiss that. From the last Bulls championship in 98 until this year; 8 years, the West has won the championship 6 of them. Not only did the West win, they tore the East up. 27-17 is the record in Final games. Who says if this team didnt play in the East that they wouldnt of been in the Finals a majority of those years? What the hell have players like Arvydas Sabonis, Steve Smith, Detlef Schrempf, Greg Anthony, Scottie Pippen, Stacey Augmon,Dale Davis, Derek Anderson,Rick Brunson, STEVE KERR, and Antonio Daniels done to get in trouble? Just because they had a few rotton apples doesn't make the whole team a part of the Hell's Angels. Now would I let them babyset little kids, no, but would I let them play basketball, hell yes. Also, Wallace averaged over 15 in 5 of the 8 seasons while in Portland. Averaged at least 18 in 3 of those,so in fact he was a pretty good player on a great team.
Easily the Blazers. Pacers are just ... indescribably stupid/bad. I don't understand them. JO'Neal is totally overrated, and the rest just dont get it done. And now after this trade they have ugly contracts to add to it. Should've just traded JO too, and take Foyle and some other ugly contract.
