Sigh. You totally missed my point. The point was that robots are coming for all the blue collar jobs. Truck Drivers? Gone. Factory workers? Gone. Bus drivers, mailmen, etc. Gone. Construction workers? Gone very soon. I'm sure your mental image of "Democrats and Liberals" as triggered transgender baby-murderers doesn't comport with your sepia tinged memories of the salt-of-the-earth working man, but the fact remains that if there is one force in America that is dedicated to the transfer of wealth away from what remains of the working class, it is the Republican party. Half the guys I play pickup basketball with are Auto workers (still a big truck plant in town). Hard to find a Republican among them. I guess they're "out of the mainstream" too.
