So If my wife and I get her pregnant by having sex, she should be able to go and have an abortion because it is her choice without even talking to me about it? That seems a little off. And for the record, i don't agree with abortion but I am also for people making their own decisions if it doesn't affect me. Some random person having an abortion has nothing to do with me.
Full disclosure, my high school girlfriend and I were some of those immature sex having teens. She was a good catholic girl (went on to be valedictorian at LaSalle high school.) There was no way her parents would have allowed her to go on the pill. She asked her mother. Girlfriend went to Planned Parenthood, got on the pill. And I took out the backseat of my 1954 Ford Customline and replaced it with a twin mattress. Good times! Very very good times.
Ultimately if she was very serious about getting one, i would be a little hurt, but i would acknowledge her choice. But someone telling me to just shut the fuck up about it is a little strong.
Nope, they can get it at the Doctors office. If their parents wont let them, then that is not my problem, they can have a family then. Federally funding this practice is disgusting. Thankfully... "The Select Investigative Panel has worked hard to uncover the illegal and highly repulsive activities of the organizations involved in the sale and trafficking of baby body parts. Now it is up to the judicial system to hold the perpetrators accountable and up to Congress and the new Administration to see that these heinous acts are continued no longer. The way we treat our young, our weak, and our voiceless does matter. History will hold us accountable for these atrocities," said Congressman Joseph R. Pitts.
Thank you, it appears the name Planned Parenthood isn't clear enough to show the primary intention is to give sexually active humans the ability to obtain birth control and STD prevention.
Considering you can get that same stuff at a normal doctor (and in some cases a store for STD Protection), I don't see the gripe. Now, let's talk about the sale of human body parts.... Should we still give this organization a pass? I guess we'll see when it goes to Congress this year.
Reaching.... but we'll continue... they probably should not have had sex then if they can't be responsible for their actions.
What if you don't have insurance or money for a normal doctor? And a quick review of your link tells me it's not the organization condoning the illegal acts. It was a couple PP clinics and a few labs that colluded together to do that.
It's nuts to deny a woman the right to choose what to do with her own body. It's also nuts for government to pay for it, no matter how rare. Or pay for PP or many other organizations that can easily fund themselves without taxpayer money. Donations to PP are up! As they should be.
Again, STD prevention can be had from the store, or the regular Doctor. So can any other service a woman would need. Having taxpayers fund PP, while they break the law is completely asinine. And I am glad its being sent to Congress w/that year long report.
I knew a girl, a junior in HS, that got pregnant. Her boyfriend was a complete loser. Her entire life was about to be ruined, if not for the abortion she got. Behind every abortion is a unique story. If the woman and her doctor agree on abortion, it's nobody else's business. Husband or not.
