That depends on a lot of things. Simply having the bomb is no absolution that you'll die by it.

-Is it stored in a safe place?
    -How do you handle it?
-What are the properties that will make it detonate?
-Are there strangers with access to it?
-Are there children with access to it?

Having booze in his house plays zero part in that.
Who's talking absolutions? I mean shit.

Just more, or less likely? No qualifiers.

These things pretty much depend on the owner, so yeah.

    You missed my point.
There are many methods people use to kill themselves, not just with a gun or booze. Overdosing on pain killer pills is another common one.

But I have never heard of pain killer pills stopping someone that is breaking into a house to rape the wife and daughters. But a gun has.

Your argument is trying to demonize an object based on something that MIGHT happen.

And if that's NOT your purpose, then you need to understand that that is a classic arguing point from anti-gun-minded folks, and they've been trying this nonsense for years.

I'm more likely to get into a car accident when I drive a car. It doesn't mean we shouldn't have cars, or that I shouldn't know how to drive. Nor does it mean that I'm more at risk for having a car accident JUST for simply owning a car.

How you act and peform with a tool (car, gun, hammer, etc) determines if your life is more at danger for having it; not by simply having the tool.

My answer is it depends on how you live with a gun.

Less likely. A bomb expert will have the expertise not to blow himself up. Mean while someone without a bomb might drop a mentos in a coke bottle and blow up the living room out of ignorance

In general. Like if you took all the people with guns, and all the people without.

Who's 3 year old kids are more likely to die from a gun? Gun owners, or non gun owners?

Serial numbers are just a way for the government to begin their inevitable gun confiscation program.
