The OT forum. You'll never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. And I say that as a sometimes-participant. You have to think of it like visiting 4chan--you're going to see some things that strain the concept of humanity and you have to be okay with that.
I find it ironic HCP made this post. You asked a question about Trump in there, didn't really address some of the good points that were in there and I say SOME. Then you ask for it to be deleted so I honestly don't know what you were trying to achieve and why you would just ask for it to be deleted because you "didn't want your name on it". That's not how it works. Your question was about Trump and your daughter asking about Trump and why he made those comments about groping women when that leaked. The famous "grab her by the pussy". Of course you will get absurd trump supporters but I saw a good point someone made in talking about Bill Clinton and his victims of sexual abuse. You just disappeared. So once again I don't know how we have this dialogue if nobody can even participate in it.
Pick you battles, put on a suit of armor and a bullet proof vest, say your peace, and do not take any ruffled feathers with you to other threads. I find the honest exchanges enlightening on several levels. Everyone has something to contribute, no matter the topic. Some people know more than they say, while others say more than they know. Some posts are very clever funny. The OT forum works because when two posters disagree on one topic, they might agree with each other on the next three. The way a forum should be run.
Honestly, I don't post much anymore as the political junk commonly makes it over to this side and you never know when you will be ganged up on. I'm not sure it is any different than what is going on in public right now. My specific experience was the "tolerant" left making me feel very unwelcome as I guess tolerance is a one-way street. I miss the good ole days when we just talked basketball. We need more ABMs and less of what is on here now. BTW, I never go over to off topic so 100% of my experience is what happened on this side.
Regardless of what they may have posted here everyone who I have met in person over the years has been extremely nice and pretty damn cool. And that especially includes you.
Whatever happened to ABM anyway? He's the guy that is responsible for bringing a lot of us to this site and has since up and vanished.
Alex Jones is hilarious even if you don't agree with anything he says, did you see him go on the Young Turks set during the election stuff? That Cenk guy is a real clown.
And the fact that people are fairly respectfully trying to talk about it means there's hope for us! We're Americans, we're problem solvers!!!
