They are staying because he is gonna give the biggest tax cuts for the rich that have ever happened, not because he is a savvy businessman or because he strongarmed them.
Read the article. He has the power to levy 14%+ tariffs without a congressional vote. He's been threatening companies with tariffs and they've been investing in the states and keeping jobs here. They don't want to admit they're being pushed around so they'll say things like "we were going to anyway."
Uh, no. You're understating how many. And many aren't publicized as companies see predictions of improved business climate and call off plans.
They don't have to say anything along those lines, but they do. Obviously they were going to shut down plants and move jobs, or they wouldn't be announcing they changed their minds.
