Also AV leaving Hank in the game to give up 7 was pathetic, that kind of bs is divisive.

Some of goals are on Lundqvist but he's probably losing patience and the ability to stand on his head 94% of the time as he's getting older. How many times does he have to watch two guys head to a player on the boards and someone open in front? Yes, if something personally is bugging him he needs to sort it out but i think he's just aggravated with the porous D more than anything.

Stop blaming Lundqvist! This is the softest Rangers team I have ever seen. Noone takes the man. Three guys in front waiving their sticks instead of taking the man. At this point I would be happy to see Malik back in the lineup. Clendening is horrible defensively, I mean he has no clue. As bad as Girardi is, at least Girardi is always in the right position waving his stick, Clendeing is out of place waving his stick instead of taking the man. There were two goals that Lundqvist could have stopped in this game, the others are just not his fault. AV has to go, simple as that. They need few tough guys. Ron Dugay even said it today. Holden, McD and Sjei should stay but the other 3 has to go.

What is happening to Klein? He is barely skating? I think dump is right we should package Stepan with Klien for some reliable defense.

It's not just three games...LOL He has sucked since last year. Wake up, he is on his decline just like Brodeur when he turned 34. He can still be decent enough to make them competitive if they can revamp the defense.

I will never understand the concept that you're going to put a guy like Klein in a package and get something much better in return. As if people around the league don't see what we're seeing every game. Of sure Rangers we will take Klein off your hands. What do you need a much better dman in return? Sure! Do you want to come over and screw our wives also?

That's not the concept 717. The concept is that GM's and coaches don't think like you. They look at contracts and systems. They believe that players that are struggling can play in their system and they can fix that player. Klein is tradeable because he has a great contract.

They should've traded high on him. He was a moveable piece. They gave huge idiotic contracts to everyone else which was so stupid. Plus, as soon as somebody holds out on you like Stepan did. Cut ties with their ass.

I agree with you 100% on that. I think most of us knew they weren't going anywhere last year. This is a fault of the organization that they don't fix. They don't do that nearly enough.

Hey at least we'll have a mid-1st rounder this year. This is going to be a key summer.

So, how do they pull off a deal for Shattenkirk? And get Graves up here already. Can't get worse.

I would just wait on Shatt for FA rather than even lose anything for a team that's probably not going anywhere. Graves I'd like to see just out of curiosity as to where he stands.

AV is ridiculous with his hesitancy to give younger players a shot, especially with Hartford struggling. Graves and Hellberg deserve play time. As the season moves on the physical play ratchets up and the Rangers only answer is for the defensemen to move the puck out of the zone quickly. When that doesn't happen the trouble starts. Girardi, Clendenning and Staal all need to get a little more physical - they don't need to knock a guy off his skates just need to bump him off the puck. Stepan is on track to have career goal and assist totals and he's only 26, I wouldn't move Derek.

I do not understand this narrative with AV. There is a ton to knock him for but refusing to play youngsters is not one of them. Vesey is playing every night as a rookie in his first pro year. Buch is playing every night as a rookie in his first pro year. Skjei is playing every night as a rookie. Hayes played every night from day 1. There was no hesitancy with any of those guys. The problem is not that he hesitates to give young players a shot, the problem is he plays favorites with which young players get in right away (see the above) and which don't (see McIlrath, Miller for awhile).

Another problem is he said he felt the team played well in their 7-6 loss to Dallas. Those kind of comments are what gets a coach fired. Or the goalie up to the GM's box talking about making a coaching change.

I think this game actually is a game that will sway Gorton into the direction he will go in.

I hope so. Good win by a terrible team with a done goalie.

That was a much needed win. Good for Lunqvist and who would've thought Grabner would be on his way to a 30 goal season?

No one said this is a terrible team. The d is a complete garbage that needs to be revamped to help Lundqvist who is not the same goalie anymore. Do you even read the threads?

Funny...the D sucks, the coach sucks and should be fired, the team quit and wants to get the coach fired, the goalie sucks, and is done, and we should buy him out. But we never actually said the exact words the team is terrible...how dare you.

That is an awesome comeback man. That is good stuff...hahahaha.

I think the message was the same message last year you couldn't grasp Chuck. The team sucks as a legit, cup contender. You didn't get that last year and still don't. Every time this season when this team has come up against one of the top teams in the league with their starting goalie in net, they have given up a ton of goals and lost convincingly. Don't know what you don't understand about that.

Analyzing this team is quite simple. Young, talented and deep with the forwards who score consistently. Half the defense is old and plays old. Staal plays like a 35 year old defenseman with all the mileage and injuries he's had. The goalie is old. AV's run and gun system doesn't work for them. All the more reason not having Graves up here is incredibly stupid.
