What are the differences?Hetero - just a guy who does nothing special - just lives life with no big care for hair styles, or isn't too heavily invested in his looks or fashion. Its not like this guy is totally nasty with no hygeine - just an average guy. This is how men are supposed to be IMO.Metro - A guy who cares a lot about his looks - trims eyebrows; shaves legs, chest; makes his facial hair look extra-perfect; does manicures/pedicures; cares for hairstyles excessively, cares for fashion and trends; probably uses tons of facial, body creams.I don't think men are meant to live this way.Which do you think is the 'right' way to live?I personally think we are supposed to be hetero - metro is borderline gay, or woman-like; men are supposed to be men - not woman; that's why we have woman. No offense to anyone here who is metro.

I had to make an essay on this but it was too hard so I changed the topic :DPersonally, I do the things in bold :<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Metro - A guy who cares a lot about his looks - trims eyebrows; shaves legs, chest; makes his facial hair look extra-perfect; does manicures/pedicures; cares for hairstyles excessively, cares for fashion and trends; probably uses tons of facial, body creams.I don't think men are meant to live this way.</div>And it's probably because that's the style right now here. You see rappers all trimmed, they do their eyebrows, etc, and they just started a trend. I even know someone who goes to the barber every 3 days just to get a touch-up on his eyebrows and sideburns.I consider myself 30% metro...just because I like looking good. But manicures and sh*t? WTF? They should leave that stuff to women only.

I'm in between. I'm a huge clean freak, and I shower/brush my teeth a few times per day. I can't even go to the corner store without ironing my clothes. I wouldn't say I'm a metro, I still do most things other men do. I like to look good everywhere I go, I don't see a problem with it though.

fairies! I go months and sometimes years without shaving, I've never done anything to my eyebrowns, the only times my legs get shaved is if I have knee surgery. Levis and tee shirt are pretty much all I wear, unless its cold that I will wear a sweet shirt. I do brush my teeth and wear deoderate though, because I'm not 100% Barbarian.

I love how people think it's "wrong" to be a certain "type" of person. This is so f*cking dumb. People can be who they want to be, and should be accepted. "This is THE WAY men should be." No, it's the way, YOU, want to be.

The whole metro thing is a modified version of a man - woman are the ones who usually care for hair/fashion/nails all that crap excessively - I don't think men should worry too much about looking in style so much - as long as you look clean and neat than you're fine - but I don't want to see men that are borderline woman - it's a little disgusting and feminine in my opinon. Also - I don't care - people can be what they want to be, and I'll accept that - I'm just saying my opinion. It's not dumb at all.

Naturally, women are suppose to have hairy arms, legs, armpits, etc. Men are suppose to be the same way. Naturally, we are not suppose to shave.Society deems it necessary for females to shave their legs, arms, armpits, etc.Personally, I like women who are shaved. Men to me should never shave their arms or legs...arm pits I can understand.

I am hetero but I do care about looking nice...like good clothes and make sure my hair looks good and whatever, like deoderant and stuff....but I aint like gettin manicures and junk and totally being in style absolutely everywhere. I just wear what I want...

Nothing wrong with being hairy, strong, a little smelly, a little rough....Be a f*cking man, not some little bi*ch a women might want you to be...Being a metro-sexual is giving in to women and wrong for men to do.

If a guy wants to look good, let him look good. I look good a lot and try to remain clean at all times just because I believe it's a neccessity. I'm not a slob (no Blood), so I don't want people to think of me as being one. I'll look good just to go for a jog... I'm just that metero, I guess.Whatever. People should respect one another's styles. It's a shame that a man can't get his eyebrows trimmed without someone believing he is gay.BTW, don't most NBA players shave their arms/legs?</span>

Your thread was so funny though, shaving legs is as feminine as it can get.Guys should be hetero, just watch the Dial for Men commercials. That's the soap I'm gonna get. [IMG]

I didnt say metros are borderline homosexuals - I said its feminine - if you want to be feminine fine with me - but its not natural IMO. Also - to be a "man" - it snot like you can't shave, brush your teeth, take showers - its just being regular - nothing crazy with fashion, or hair style or all that crap.

I think there has got to be a mix between the two. I mean you have to look good for the ladies, and it that intales trimming my balls then so be it.
