I'm not sure that fits....Indian families buy 7-11s, Dairy Marts and small shops all over the country...in the small town near my property there are 3 of these stores all staffed by family members from India.....it's not so much a stereotype as an observation....It' like saying sushi bars have Asian sushi chefs....I know these local Indian families and since I've been here, they've bought 6 more stores....they do like to invest in those franchises as you'll notice Chinese like to buy restaurants here as well. Sometimes these are just demographics....not racist opinions...like the Chinese...they usually have family members working these shops
Some folks immigrate to the US and look for work...Indians and Chinese more often than not come here and buy a franchise ...smart of them
By buying a franchise it gives them E-2 Visa status and allows them to bring their entire family over.

Did you see the story about a former American Idol contestant named Bo Bice complaining about being called "white boy" in a Popeye's? He was so hurt he actually shed a tear telling his story about reverse racism. He apparently had no idea why calling an African American slave "boy" would be different than identifying a young white man waiting for his fast food a "white boy". However, he was self aware enough to know his little feelings were hurt and was glad it opened up dialogue. His 15 minutes couldn't be over soon enough, that was just embarrassing for all white people!
