    The mafia killed JFK.

    1) JFK backed out of the Cuba Bay of Pigs invasion at the last second, and failed to overthrow Castro. The mafia wanted their hotels and whores back.

    2) JFK went after the mafia through the AG, his brother Bobby, who was also killed by the mafia.

    3) The Mafia controlled the world wide drug trade at that time. The CIA was transporting a lot of the drugs for the mafia

    All this, after it was mafia money that helped get JFK elected.

    Never fuck with the mafia and the CIA.

    The mafia was going after legitimate businesses they could control. They targeted companies that had a lot of cash, or, had access to a lot of cash through such things as govt contracts. There was a lot of corrupt business deals made.

    This dovetails into @Rivermans arms dealers in Texas, but the mafia also went after the manufacturers. They never cared about what product they went after, just how they could get their hands on the money the product brought in.

    JFK and Bobby where trying to expose the mafia.

    Throw in that old Joe Kennedy cockblocked LBJ from the 1960 Democratic presidential nomination (through dirty means) and that Bobby Kennedy cut Jimmy Hoffa off at the knees (or tried to) every which way and no wonder the conspiracy theories thrive.....I'm still wondering if LBJ declined the 1968 nomination because he was being blackmailed by Bobby.....so Johnson went for a twofer as payback.......
