It was actually from the Starcraft community, but it pretty much lost all association with video games by the 2010s and was just used as a general alternative to "lol" But then it gets super weird. Read this, but take it with a grain of salt considering the source.

Your "theory" is one I haven't heard....or at least paid any attention to. But the intelligence and law enforcement communities were certainly informed about Middle Eastern individuals in the USA training to fly passenger jets but not learning how to land them. Red flags were flying everywhere and and they were ignored. Or are you going to tell me that that is fake news too? There are plenty of legitimate reasons for skepticism.....like how conveniently 9/11 made us so agreeable to giving up more of our freedoms and rights to privacy. That would NOT have happened before or without 9/11. And you have to wonder, if they couldn't read the obvious flashing warning signs before all the added "security", measures, then why should we surrender even more of our freedoms? Regardless of who was behind 9/11, the American citizen got played and it's only going to get worse........question everything.
Or maybe W preferred to spend his time going to classrooms to read to children. How many ongoing threats all the time? What made Bin Laden stand out over the others? The FBI and CIA couldn't share intelligence before 9/11. That might have enabled the few out of tens of thousands in flight schools to go under the radar. Etc.
Our government was most certainly negligent on 9/11, with ridiculously outdated and lax security in place. We got caught with our pants down; there was no government conspiracy. But yes, as you haven't heard...that is just one of many bullshit, delusional conspiracies out there: that the government somehow packed C4 and thermite into the Twin Towers, and then Cheney used remote control planes and flew them into the buildings.
