Will he be accredited with future crimes any of them commit?

The stampede release is no doubt just to provide cover for the real bad guys he was paid to free.

Interesting nobody has been tracking race of releassees.

This could cause a prison population imbalance if most of them come from Chicago.

Despite the deliberately vague media line about "low-level drug offenses, most have been heroin, crack, and coke dealers with blood on their hands and multiple offenses.

That's a lot of savings...you don't want to feed, clothe, give medical and dental care, internet, shelter to these folks on the taxpayers dollar? There are far too many people in prisons that don't need to be in them any more...Obama addressed it..and according to what I read about it was very selective...might not agree with his choice but in reality...prisons are overcrowded as is. It's another way to drain a swamp.

Well if you take that line to the next logical step, we could save big time! Fire 1/2 the police force, eliminate the DEA, close the jails, and cut the court system in half.
Why the hell is he such a piker?

I'm a believer in prison reform for non violent offenders who have proven to be rehabilitated...that's what it's supposed to do. If a couple thousand get a second chance to contribute, it's for the best...I think there are obvious exceptions...repeat offenders, etc...psychotics, etc...

It's not all or nothing Marz....it's 1700 people or so...there are 2.3 million in prison

Yeah well, I think it is more than all President before him! Barry has away of gathering that stat. The only others with more were war time Presidents that had tons of war criminals to deal with.

I just read through a list of 7 Oregonians whose sentences were commuted.

Most of them were put in jail for meth, they all had very long sentences (20-30 years, two were in for life). They'd all served quite a bit of time already (at least 10 years).

Several of them were also charged as felon in possession of a firearm, so that part, at least, should make you happy.
