You've been on the anti Obama, Clinton rage train for a long time now.....when this campaign started, I actually thought you were onto something with the libertarian option but you quickly morphed into a Trumpette....and actually Denny, you have vented disgust at the outgoing administration at a pace rivaled really only by Rastas venting against Trump.....you actually think Trump instills confidence....I think the opposite. Your butt hurt goes both ways...you've dished it out, but can't seem to take it back

Have you been a republican for the last 8 years and honestly felt like this?

I think you have to be a real special kind of stupid to look at and listen to a man like Donald Trump and decide to place your confidence in him. I've never been a rabid patriot or anything but man, this makes me embarrassed to be an American.

Fox News' Chris Wallace - Chris Wallace! - said today, "Trump had made statements that were “flat wrong” and that there needed to be discussion about “the president’s honesty.”"

Enough with the alternative reality that has been spun here by some of you - that Trump won fair and square and we're just sore losers. Here's a dose of facts for you: We have an embarrassing buffoon in the White House who was helped by the Russians and the director of the FBI and an antiquated voting process. 3 million more voters did not want him than did. He's a frighteningly petty, narcissistic compulsive liar.

    There's reality for you.

No, but I doubt the average democrat feels scared either. It's just irrational people who are.

Denny - credit where credit is due. You always gave Obama the person respect. But let's not pretend that you weren't anything but 100% predictably against any and everything he did as president. Your lens was tainted.

Trump...Hillary is a liar, a crook, she should be in jail
Trump...I'd like the Clintons to stand up and I have to say I have nothing but respect for them!
Trump...The CIA is doing what the Nazis do...the press is doing what the Nazis do...I'll drain the swamp
Trump...I have so much respect for the CIA and the good work they do!
his favorite defense mechanism......We'll take a look at it later

It's irrational to believe any president is going to do anything to you personally. People need to grow a fucking sack, take the L and move on with their lives. Trump is president, lefties told everyone to give Obama a chance or shut the hell up it's time to do the same for Trump.

I think I want to wait and see what Trump actually does. If he cuts $10.5T out of government spending over 10 years, that's what Libertarians want.

If he focuses on government involvement in social issues, not so much.

I don't buy into the patriotism making no room for prejudice. Though he is quite precise that he opposes prejudice.

We absolutely have to hold the new administration to account for what it does. Republicans in congress, too.

As for Obama, he has a track record. Excuse me for being against dropping bombs on half a dozen countries and saying so. There's nothing extreme our unjustified in that position.

My commentary on the media is well founded. They are creating a caricature of what he really is and people are gobbling it up, regardless of how accurate the media actually is.

I was for his pardons at the end, no? I was for his ending don't ask don't tell, which Clinton pushed for and signed. I was for not coming down on marijuana users, producers, and sellers. I was for allowing gays to marry. I was for extreme scrutiny of the police departments and how they've treated blacks in their communities. When he did good things, I spoke up.

As I've said, I'm not for his warmongering, economic policies that killed good jobs and led to pathetic growth, running up the debt, bailing out wall street and banks, forcing people to hand over money to insurance companies (and for shitty insurance at that), and general awful foreign policy for the whole 8 years. His economy was good for the 1%, not for main street; the wealth gap only grew. The quality of life for black people only got worse.

    Everything? Uh uh.

bullshit.....my draft number was 18....I was sent by Nixon to fight a war I didn't believe in....don't fool yourself that a president can't affect you personally. They can and we didn't end that war by shutting up...I'm excercising my freedom of speech..I voted....I have every right to complain and I feel I have reason to complain...nothing to do with Hillary losing...it all has to do with the lack of integrity Trump shows day in and day out. You can cheer him on...I want to dump him as soon as possible....felt exactly the same about Nixon

He has created his own caricature Denny....the media is not populated with idiots as you seem to think..nor should they all be lumped together behind any news spin....nice try....Trump attacked the media and they fought back...Trump threw the first punch....they were his scapegoat...now he suffers their wrath and it's the fault of who? Conflict seems to be Donald's only defense mechanism...face it...the dude just doesn't have any answers for even the simplest questions.

Reagan cut my mortgage payment by $450/month at a time I was making $16,000 a year. The interest rate dropped from 18 5/8% to 12 1/8% in the 90 days it took to close on our first home. The rate drop saved the $450/month. The house cost $52,000 and the down payment was $2500.

I'll take that over any tax cut, though he cut my taxes, too.

Yes, the media is populated with smart people with an agenda.

Blazed across the bottom of the CNN screen: 'Millions march against Trump' - yet the marches were about all sorts of issues and not against Trump. But if they show only the speeches of the hollywood celebs who have nothing to offer but hate, it paints an inaccurate picture.

Even CNN in their panel discussions admitted the marches weren't against Trump, but against some of the policies he MIGHT implement.

A friend of mine went to the march here in San Diego and said she saw little anti-trump anything. A lot of the people in the march were marching for clean water and other issues.

So yes, caricature is a perfect word for it.
