There shouldn't be quibbling over crowd size. It's trivial, but Mr. Spicer basically scolded the press in a meltdown mostly full of lies and then left without taking questions. Do you think that's normal?
He's right to scold the press. They have an agenda that isn't about accuracy or ethical journalism, or even integrity. Posted elsewhere, still spot on.

If it was one time, I'd agree with you. But the press has a narrative and pattern at disparaging and/or trying to delegitimize Trump. So he spoke on it, and clarified that in todays briefing.
I watched the entire thing from 10AM to 6PM. It was not reported accurately. The picture they used to do the comparison was a picture of the place before the speech.
Like I said I don't really care about the crowd size. I just thought Spicer's behavior this weekend was bizarre to say the least. It wasn't even so much what he said as it was how he said it. He wasn't speaking so much as preaching, scolding the press like he is holier than thou and then leaving. I thought he did okay today and hopefully that's more representative of how he intends to convey information.
