One of the best finishers in the league has some advice for Gerald Green in next week?s slam dunk contest. Luckily for Green, his locker?s right next door. ?I think he needs to go out there and have a great dunk the first dunk, just to kind of let everybody know he?s here,? said Paul Pierce. ?I?ll just give him my opinions on what I think he should do. I think he has a great chance of winning. If I could bet on basketball, I?d put my money on him.?Pierce confirmed the rumor that he would be helping Green in Vegas.?Yeah, I?m supposed to be participating in a dunk with him,? said Pierce. ?We have something special lined up for everybody All-Star weekend. I think you?re all going to enjoy it. For all that we?ve been through, Gerald representing us in the dunk contest, it will bring some kind of light to the organization. Hopefully he can bring home that trophy and make us all proud.?http://www.boston.com/sports/basketball/ce...s/celtics_blog/This should be entertaining to say the least! :dribble:
I always find it funny that players always bring out scorers to help them with dunk contest things. Iggy brought out Allen Iverson, Ricky Davis used Eddie Jones, etc. Why not bring out a point guard to help you with the lobs and stuff. Now, maybe Gerald won't need Paul to throw him a lob. I mean, I obviously don't know what his plans are. But, if he does need someone to throw him a lob, Bassy is definitely the best option.

I just want something fresh this year, not perfecting a dunk someone's already created, I want to see a first ever.
