I liked his game from the first time I saw him play. And since he is ahead of Niko AND Doug in the rotation says a lot about Doug and Niko.
Yeah, this is a mixed bag. Zipser in particular is getting his chance because Mirotic and McDermott ain't getting it done. I didn't like the construction of this roster and thought it put even more importance on Mirotic and McDermott establishing themselves at legit NBA players. Zipser's emergence is Mirotic/McDermott's failure. As a fan, I don't care whether McDermott, Mirotic or Zipser turn out to be a stud as long as at least one of them does...ideally 2 of them. Zipzer's a significant longshot and McDermott and Mirotic have been big disappointments so far. The only way for this Bulls team to be genuinely good is for their bench to be very good. Unfortunately, so far they've been bad.
