To appreciate Chief you really have to focus on the defensive end of the court...anything he does on offense is secondary..he's not looking for that...he's been streaky on offense his whole career but for some reason MAKES game changing shots when it really counts..his defense in my book is first class...I want Aminu guarding Lebron and Durant

Definitely. Mase could've gotten 25 tonight. He missed some easy ones. I'm excited about our team. We'll get it together. Things weren't as bad as they seemed. We ran into smoking hot Wash and Philly teams on the trip and Charlotte was desperate and at home. Now our schedule gets easier and we'll make our run,

I first met him at Gary Snyder's cabin with a bunch of beat poets...my band played some of their parties...I dug the poetry but was never a Grateful Dead fan..

He's a net liability. His D is pretty good, but what he gives up on offense seems to overwhelm his contributions.

I think if you look at 21 year old Lamarcus...you'll see what I'm saying and I think Vonleh is a better banger in the paint, rebounder and 3 pt shooter....

I don't know about never will. He's only 21. He can shoot from everywhere. He has a decent hook. I wouldn't count him out.

He personally won two playoff games for us last year on the offensive side of the floor. He was left open and he punished the opposition. Had a 30 point game in one of them. He was also great in the playoffs with Dallas the year before. He's a prime time player. Lifts his game when it matters.

Vonleh had 8 points and 10 rebounds in just 20 minutes and as mentioned, not one play run for him. Was also a +14 in those 20 minutes.

Vonleh is starting to get confident in his game. There giving him a second chance and he look like he wants keep the starting job.

Moving Vonleh and Turner to starting lineup at Philly was a turning point to our season and if we keep playing hard, it will stick. I think Turner and Vonleh are much better as starters. Not sure what will happen to Harkless when he comes back though. He disappears as a bench player.

His ceiling is probably prime David West; that'd plenty good, but he's just not the natural shot creator Lamarcus is/was.

It's not a knock against him. I think he already shows more willingness to fight for rebounds than LMA ever did.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Noah Vonleh--I still think his ceiling is Clint Capela. Which would be a pretty nice addition to this team. He actually has a pretty long way to get there, but that's what a ceiling is for someone as raw as Vonleh. He shows some ability to block shots and I think he has the length and athleticism to be a really good one. If he can start scoring efficiently (right now he's, uh...about as efficient as a riding mower fitted with a rocket booster), Portland will really have something.

There's nothing like 48 minutes of garbage time to insure a good night's sleep.

I think he misses game changing shots a lot too though. Tonights 3 point shot in the 4th is a perfect example. The Lakers are coming back and he takes a 3 to try to stop the run? Not the right guy to do so. He needs to be smarter than that. He did redeem himself with a nice block after that, and he did stop shooting....so hopefully he and Terry will learn from it. But Terry needs to stop encouraging him to take them.
