Say what? Vonleh is already a better shooter than Capela. Capela can't shoot threes (or FTs for that matter). Noah will be better than Capela is now.

    Hello darkness, my old friend
Yes and he's a far, far, far less efficient scorer. Capela has a .618 TS% (which is fantastic) while Vonleh has a .473 (which is horrific). Capela has a much better block rate, Offensive Rating and Defensive Rating. Capela is not the perfect comparison in terms of playstyle, since Vonleh can shoot, but a Capela type of player who's active and athletic around the basket, but can switch out onto a perimeter player when necessary, on defense and chips in efficient, non-volume scoring on the other end is where I see Vonleh's ceiling. Capela is an extremely valuable young player--it would be fantastic for the Blazers if Vonleh became that valuable.

I tried to dive into the one at Meyer's house, but it was on fire.

But Vonleh is better than Capela at so many things already. I don't get the comparison.

That was an ugly win against a terrible team without it's starting PG. At one point, the Lakers missed 12 2-pt shots in a row yet Portland couldn't expand the lead. And it wasn't because of good defense. Most of those shots were completely uncontested and a couple had someone in the vicinity. The Lakers are just that bad. Just about any other team in the league beats the Blazers with that effort and execution level.

He's a better shooter. That's all he's better at. Capela is a better rebounder, passer, scorer, shot-blocker and has much more overall impact on team offense and defense.

As for why I made the comparison, I wrote that in my previous post. There's no point me re-writing it.

I agree with everything except the without it's starting PG. D' Angelo was 0-7 from deep the last time we played them. I much rather have him play.....less shots for Clarkson and Lou Williams. Plus he still makes poor decisions.

I would take that gladly because I don't think Clint Capela is even close to his ceiling yet.

So often this year the Blazers have played just bad enough to lose, so I'm fine with them playing just good enough to win.
