The Doomsday clock has ticked a half a minute closer to midnight this year, as announced by scientists this morning. It is now 2.5 Minutes till midnight, 30 seconds closer due to Donald Trump' s presidency, his remarks about nuclear weapons and his clear lack of temperament.
2017's 2.5 Minutes is the closest the doomsday clock has been to midnight since 1953 when it was set to 2 minutes till midnight after the creation and testing of the atom bomb.
Scary stuff right there. Just super scary. Not the imaginary clock but the more realistic dog flying an airplane scenario. Somewhere someone is probably trying to teach a dog to fly.
