    Trump Build the wall!
Tariff on any goods from Mexico add 20%, yes Americans will pay that 20% but we do not have to buy products from Mexico. What do we have to have from Mexico? Besides drugs.
America should have a $ surplus in trade with at least 50-60 5 of countries we trade with.
Dems had 8 yrs to do something constructive with boarder, they did nothing so now Trump will act.
This country should also change legal immigration rules or enforce them. Anyone who comes to this country need to assimilate and become

No way American's pay the 20%! It would be a rare person indeed that will pay a premium of 20% on stuff from Mexico. More likely the company shipping the stuff in from Mexico will have to discount the price considerable to be competitive. Then that will sure make them reconsider the benefits of making the what ever in Mexico in the first place. Give it a little more time, see where this settles out.

One thing I think you can count on, is the Mexican President up here ready to negotiate on a package of things soon. I imagine on of the items will be the hugh amount of Mexican national in the US prison system. Oregon cut off giving out those number on our prison system several years back, but back when you could get them, it was over 30% Mexican Nationals in the Oregon prisons. Perhaps I remember this incorrectly, but I doubt it. Damn! It would probably sink Mexico if we send them all back to Mexico.

    The wall will get built.

Throughout his campaign, Trump’s rhetoric has constantly demonstrated a fundamental misunderstanding on the very nature of trade. While Trump constantly refers to trade in militaristic terms with “winners and losers”, free trade is always beneficial for both sides. While Trump has frequently harped on the “trade deficit” America runs with nations like Mexico, as Jonathan Newman explained recently, they aren’t something to be feared:
You should be just as worried about US trade deficits with other countries as you are about your trade deficit with your favorite grocery store, which is not at all. "Trade deficit" is one of the worst terms in economics because it sounds so much like a budget deficit.

Imagine an international border between you and your grocery store. Tons of money flow in one direction and tons of food flow in the opposite direction. Is this a cause for worry? You have a massive trade deficit with your grocery store, but nothing seems to be wrong or dysfunctional. Quite the contrary -- the trading makes you much better off. Making the groceries more expensive or making it harder to trade with your store can only hurt.

So should Trump follow through with this tariff, what goods can Americans expect to pay higher prices on?
In 2015, some of the top manufactured goods included:
    • Vehicles ($74 billion)
    • Electrical machinery ($63 billion)
    • Machinery ($49 billion)
    • Optical and medical instruments ($12 billion)

America also imported a great deal of agricultural, food and beverage goods including:
    • Fresh vegetables ($4.8 billion)
    • Fresh fruit ($4.3 billion)
    • Wine and beer ($2.7 billion)
    • Snack foods ($1.7 billion)
    • Processed fruit & vegetables ($1.4 billion)

A tariff, after all, is simply a fancy word for "tax," and like any other tax, a tariff increases the cost of goods and services to the buyer while limiting choice. In the case of a tariff imposed on American consumers and Mexican producers, costs of production for American producers will go up, and prices for Americans consumers will rise.
Producers who use food, vehicles, electronics, and medical instruments imported from Mexico (such as restaurants, couriers, medical firms, and any company that uses automobiles) will now have higher costs and will be able to produce less, hire fewer people, and sell at the same low prices. American consumers and workers will suffer accordingly. The only ones who benefit will be the tiny minority of Americans who compete with Mexicans for manufacturing jobs, and those who sell to them.
Everyone else will see a decline in real wages as costs rise.

And Mexicans revolt and their government caves.

Their GDP is $1.2T. The trade they lose is $300B.

Ow, ow, ow ow ow ow ow! That stings.

No, just in Mexico. We'll buy our produce from California instead. And cars from Detroit or Japan or Germany...

If Trump's theory is true. What we know is our manufacturing has gone away, the work done by slave or incredibly cheap labor. Why keep doing what's not worked?

I repeat I'm not in favor of the wall. If it were up to me, the borders would be free and open. I would take in refugees from the nations we've destroyed.

I liked what she was saying. Of course that was at the same time as when she was against gay marriage. Oh well, she flip flopped on both but at least gay marriage she was wrong about in the beginning.

Funny story alert. My friends girlfriend is a Mexican American. Her parents came here illegally, popped out an anchor baby, and have lived here ever since. They did nothing to try an become citizens during her first 18 years of life. Last year, she turned 21, and found out that her family is getting deported. I guess they didn't want to be a citizen after 21 years.

Anyways, she was posting all of this anti Trump, pro Hillary bullshit on fb. Along with a bunch of "sad" videos about deportation. I never said anything, because she has an extremely low IQ and she's just a general drain on society. BUT one day she decided to try and use veterans to endorse Hillary.

    I know. Fucking retarded.

She tried saying that veterans don't deserve Trump, and to make the right choice for our veterans, by voting Hillary. Of course she had a bunch of insults for anyone voting Trump in her post as well.

Being a veteran myself, I took exception to this. So I very politely tried explaining to her that her post was really disrespectful to veterans. And I compared it to if she told black people that they don't deserve to be racially profiled by cops, and then endorsed the kkk.

Of course she told me I had no clue what I was talking about, and started calling me names.

So, I posted @bodyman5000 and 1 's video, and the video I just posted, to all of her deportation posts, that all of her family members were mourning over.

It was the greatest thing I've ever seen on the internet in my life.

    Good times had by all.

    Edit: @BLAZINGGIANTS video.
