And science isn't political, is it? /greenfont Whether you want to think the math is somehow wrong, the small sample does suggest doing a much larger scale examination of who voted is in order.
I wish I could find the whole video. This isn't the original one I saw before the election. He also said it in an interview that was broadcast on the radio.
if you google it, there's a bunch of shit trying to say it's a hoax, and that it was edited by Fox News.... The video I posted is unedited. The Washington post, released the manuscript. And it's word for word, what was in the video I posted. But they have a different interpretation of what he said. I heard the radio broadcast too, and he straight up said, when talking about illegals voting, "if you go and vote, that makes you a legal citizen"
There are many Dennys. Some claim to be Libertarian. Others are rabid fans of the guy who wants to pour money into pointless things like a giant wall, combat free trade like no president of either party in generations and massively expand the military. There's no way these could be the same guy.
He also went in to detail about how "they're not gonna come for you" and voting is some type of sacred duty, and it's their responsibility to go vote.
I am. I also wrote that it's likely that illegals get registered and vote and it's not detected. The scale of this isn't known for sure.
It's not clear he was saying illegals should vote. He was talking to the woman who is legal saying "you should vote" (roughly).
This agrees with what I saw. Note the black bolded text - he's telling latinos who have undocumented family members to go out and vote (for their benefit). She is worried if SHE votes if immigration might come for her family who might be undocumented. Transcript from the video: http://www.snopes.com/obama-encouraged-illegal-aliens-to-vote/ RODRIGUEZ: Many of the millennials, Dreamers, undocumented citizens -- and I call them citizens because they contribute to this country -- are fearful of voting. So if I vote, will immigration know where I live? Will they come for my family and deport us? OBAMA: Not true. And the reason is, first of all, when you vote, you are a citizen yourself. And there is not a situation where the voting rolls somehow are transferred over and people start investigating, et cetera. The sanctity of the vote is strictly confidential in terms of who you voted for. If you have a family member who maybe is undocumented, then you have an even greater reason to vote. RODRIGUEZ: This has been a huge fear presented especially during this election. OBAMA: And the reason that fear is promoted is because they don't want people voting. People are discouraged from voting and part of what is important for Latino citizens is to make your voice heard, because you're not just speaking for yourself. You're speaking for family members, friends, classmates of yours in school... RODRIGUEZ: Your entire community. OBAMA: ... who may not have a voice. Who can't legally vote. But they're counting on you to make sure that you have the courage to make your voice heard.
