Re: Good one Gilbert! <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Charlotte Observer -Two days before what Gilbert Arenas has proclaimed will be his next 50-point game, no one wanted to say much about it."I'm not going to comment on that," Washington Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said.Arenas had posted an entry on his nba.com blog under the heading "Time to Get my 50 Points vs. Portland."He vowed to score 50 against the Trail Blazers on Sunday as payback for anyone who might have had anything to do with his not making the U.S. national team for the world championships last summer. Portland coach Nate McMillan was an assistant on the team.</div>Hm... let's take a look at how Agent Zero did today against Portland:http://www.nba.com/games/20070211/PORWAS/boxscore.htmlGilbert Arenas: 9 points, 3-15 FGs, 0-8 3PTs, 3-3 FTs, 5 REB, 4 AST, 5 TOsAw Gilbert, you were SOOOO close to getting your 50 points today... but you didn't, and the Wizards got blown out at home. Maybe now he'll shut up...
Re: Good one Gilbert! pwn3dtoo bad it wasnt on tv. Im a fan of Gilbert, but this whole crusade vs the Suns and Blazers is childish
Re: Good one Gilbert! haha, he deserved this one. I;m a fan of him on the court, but I'm really annoyed by his arrogance.
Re: Good one Gilbert! Hahaha, that is pretty funny. He must be so embarassed right now. If he got his typical 30, it wouldn't have been that big of a deal. But he got under 10 points :HAHAHA:
Re: Good one Gilbert! Guys, Gilbert has dropped 50 on plenty of other teams and his team has been #1 in the East so y'all can just be quiet. Gilbert can drop 50 when he wants too. I don't think he was into it today. Remeber when he was like, oh maybe I should stop scoring 50? that's what happened.

Re: Good one Gilbert! he was obviously into it if he wrote a blog on the front page of nba.com stating he was going to score 50. He just had an off-game. he is human, you know.

And then you said that he just wasn't into it today....Why would he not be into it? He made a post om his blog just about scoring a ton of points, and he vowed to do this before the season started. Why the hell would he "not be into it"? That made no sense. And if he can drop 50 whenever he wants to, how come he only averages 30? HE CANT DROP 50 POINTS WHENEVER HE WANTS TO. That is retarded. How come he's only had like three 50 point games this season if he can supposedly score 50 whenever he wants to?<span style="color:#FF0000">CB4, stop calling members names, you are a mod. Re: Good one Gilbert! Of course it doesn't make sense to you. Why should I even bother responding to your posts?

Re: Good one Gilbert! I don't know why Gilbert would say something that crazy instead of playing the best he can to help his team win.
Re: Good one Gilbert! Man pretty embarrasing for him having one of his worst games of the year when he expected one of his best. His team got blown out by the TrailBlazers too...how is that possible?
Re: Good one Gilbert! Gilbert:"We have a new philosphy now and that is focusing on defense," said Arenas, who spent most of the game guarding Jack, who shot 5-for-8 from the field with five assists. "Right now we are still adjusting to that. At the end of the day, they scored a lot of easy baskets on us." sounds like a weak excuse to meButler:"You can't put your finger on it," Butler said. "Portland played good basketball, that's it. They played great basketball on both ends of the floor. As a player, I was embarrassed about our effort."
Re: Good one Gilbert! GIlbert should just accept that he had a bady day, and move on. He should have never made those comments. He was just setting himself up for failure and embarrasment. You can gloat after the game (if you do score 50), but if you rpedict that you're going to get 50 and you end up playing like sh*t, people will think you're an idiot, and a jackass.
