Disfunction on display. The players, except Jimmy, aren't used to this crap.

    What a circus.

Will be interesting tonight to see if they come put flat and with a I don't care attitude.

Good god. Is there a precedent in professional sports for something like this?

Also, I haven't had the chance to update myself on this story every half hour as things unfold. Does anyone have a synopsis of all the major events as they unfolded?

I can't believe Hoiberg Butler and Wade and that management allowed him to do so. Reinsdorf needed to clean house before this season and now he's living with the fallout.

Oh, I'll bet you got what you needed.

    1) Bulls blow lead to Hawks.

    2) Wade throws everyone but him and Butler under bus regarding "want to," particularly singling out "young players."

    3) Butler follows his mentor out on that limb...brings saw...uses it.

    4) Rondo uses instagram to defend young Bulls players. If Rondo were anyone other than Rondo, this defense would have been would have been met with universal applause. As it was, the poignant message suffered due to the messenger.

    5) Bulls hold most hotly-anticipated shootaround in their history.

    6) Forman draws short straw and is designated management spokesperson. Management's very disappointed about dirty laundry and such. Wrist slaps have been administered to all guilty parties.

    7) Coach Hoiberg echoes Forman's sentiments. Benches Butler and Wade for 5 minutes. Probably would have benched Rondo as well, but he played that card earlier when Rondo threw a towel at Boylen.

    8) In a comforting show of solidarity, Wade, Butler and Rondo each proclaim that they don't regret a single word they said.

    Hope this helps.

Nice summary tranplant. I want to add, Butler went 1-13 in the next game and substituted himself out of the game at one point.

Fred has no control over this team. None.

Hoiberg's in a bad spot. It doesn't appear to be in his constitution to be a hard ass. He might want to consider that, by bending over backwards to keep his big name players happy, the team is floundering and he's put his own job in jeopardy. If he's going to get fired, might as well go out in a way he can be proud of. Any player, and I mean ANY player who plays like it's his team rather than our team sits. If he has to go all Hoosiers on their ass and play less than 5 guys, do it. He may get fired and he may never get another NBA job, but he'll be remembered (and he'll have no problem getting a lucrative college job anyway).
