<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>On Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2007, Philadelphia 76ers fans will have an opportunity to witness the "Return of the Red," as the Sixers unveil a new second road uniform with red as the predominant color accented by the team's other official colors of white, blue, black, silver and gold. This will mark the first time the team will wear red uniforms since the 1996-97 season."We feel we have created a uniform that respects and recognizes the rich tradition of 76ers basketball while also focusing on its future," said President Billy King. "Our second road uniforms feature elements that maintain our team's identity in a very unique way - one that we wanted to unveil first for our fans in Philadelphia."The Sixers will wear the second road uniform for minimum of six games during each season and up to a maximum of 15 games, in addition to the standard black road uniform. It marks the first introduction of a second road uniform since 1999-2000 season. The Sixers red second road uniforms - produced by adidas - will feature a new "PHILA" wordmark across the chest in a design similar to the team's primary logo, as well as white and blue striping around the V-neck. The jerseys will also feature the same font as the team's current home and road uniforms. The red shorts are adorned with the Sixers secondary logo above a blue accent on the side of the left leg.In contrast to the team's current uniforms, the principal uniform fabric on the red uniforms is adidas climalite flatback mesh, which wicks moisture away from the skin to the outside of the fabric where it quickly evaporates. The side panel inserts are blue adidas climalite metallic stretch air.The jerseys will go on sale beginning Sunday, February 11 at the Wachovia Center Fan Gear stores.</div>They look pretty good. Man, they should just make these their permanent road jerseys. The blazk jerseys just look terrible.
I agree these should be their normal road uni's. I like them a lot, they remind me of Kansas Jayhawks' alternate uni's.
Nice! We needed something to spice things up. And Im sorry to keep bring him up, but AI would have look good in one....

Those are pretty tight... but we still need to go back to these jerseys:Also, I like our black road jerseys, but we definitely need to use the blue ones more often too. Those are tight.
I think this would be a good permanent uni for the 76ers I hate their black ones, IMO these would look a lot better.
On second thought, they should get rid of that logo on these jerseys... "PHILA" just looks bad in that font. They should keep these jerseys but just replace the logo with the old school "PHILA."

I like em they're not too over the top....but usually when a new jersey is unvailed and I say I dont like it I end up loving it and vice versa.
They are pretty nice looking, but like other have said: EVERYONE is getting red alternates now. Detroit, New Jersey, Toronto changed their primary color to red, Portland has had a red alternate, Miami has had a red alternate, etc. Come on lol, pick a new color, people.
They are average. Too many teams have red. On top of the teams CB32 said, the Rockets also have red jersies, Clips have red jersies, among other teams. It's ridiculous.

Houston, LA Clippers, Cleveland, Chicago, and Atlanta all have red.
Yeah, them too. Bobcats also have a reddish jersey. That's around 1/3 of the league with a red road jersey. It makes teams like the Spurs, Lakers and Celtics be that much more unique and appealing.
