I agree that detaining people with the legal papers was a mistake. Could that have been confusion of DHS at the airports due to the EO details being vague? Who knows. The threat is about terrorists coming into our country. It's always a threat. It doesn't have to be specific. That's why we are developing the vetting policy. Homegrown terrorism from immigrants needs to be stopped. But the agitation propaganda that is spewing out from the Media is completely brainwashing the masses. On the flip side, I've seen interviews with a handful of Muslims that are already approving of what the President has done. Can we also all please read the definition of "temporary"?
Still a head scratcher. The ban is against the same countries there already is a ban on. No more were added. A billion muslims are not banned at all. That this is a muslim ban of any sort is a huge reach.
I read numbers yesterday that those countries make up 12.2% of the Muslim population. So, you would be correct.
Listen to him in his own words. "This is not a ban based on religion, it's a ban on places..." Again, if they wanted to ban muslims, the ban would have to include many other countries, including Russia, where 1B muslims live.
Easy. Pick the countries listed in the earlier Act by Obama. That way they can disclaim any anti-Muslim intent and make it seem legal. They will probably broaden it later.

During that same period, the report said at least 125 Christian churches were also attacked or destroyed by ISIS. They include Saint George Church in Mosul, which was blown up on March 9, 2015; Virgin Mary Chaldean Church, which was attacked by car bomb on June 9, 2008; and the Armenian Church in Mosul, burned on Jan. 25, 2015. More Christians were reportedly murdered by ISIS militants in 2015 and 2016, but the names and places of death of the victims have yet to be compiled in one document, CNS News reported.
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/432993/isis-genocide-christians-recognized-john-kerry-congress On March 14, Congress passed, by a historic, unanimous 393–0 vote, House Continuing Resolution 75, recognizing the ongoing genocide of Christians, Yazidis, and other religious minorities under ISIS. Seven days later, Secretary Kerry followed suit. “Daesh is genocidal by self-proclamation, by ideology, and by actions,” Kerry said. “We must recognize what Daesh is doing to its victims.”
That was 6 years ago. I don't remember it. But it sounds like it was in response to an imminent threat. I don't recall people being stranded at the airport as a fly by night EO was signed. I also don't recall legal immigrants being afraid to travel overseas because they might not be able to get back in.
