DALLAS -- After years of being fodder for Charles Barkley to comment on in his role as an analyst on TNT's "Inside the NBA," LeBron James has heard enough. "He's a hater," James told ESPN of Barkley following the Cleveland Cavaliers' 104-97 loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Monday. "What makes what he says credible? Because he's on TV?" James had been stewing the past couple of days after Barkley took James to task for the four-time MVP calling out the Cavs for needing to fortify the roster with another playmaker to have a realistic shot at a repeat title. "Inappropriate. Whiny. All of the above," Barkley said of James last week. http://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/...valiers-throws-gauntlet-charles-barkley-hater
I lovc it. Barkley needs a head slap and a alcoholic drink. IMO>> Outspoken slob. LeBron is way better than Barkley ever was.
Yea Barkley is a slob and Lebron always role model. But Barkley is right in this case Lebron is whinnying about need more players that contribute. But Lebron call out his GM and his Owners to spend more money even though they got the highest paid roster in the league. Even though they got the basic the same team that just won the championship.
Lebron never addressed Barkleys points. He's just spewing hate out. I don't always agree with chuck but lebron does whine. A lot.
Barkley will always be my favorite player but he shouldn't be calling out Lebron for being too whiny. Chuck's idea of team commitment was switching to Cookies N' Cream from Rocky Road before summer workouts.
Lebron wouldn't have lashed out like this if he didn't think Barkley was a little right. Seems like the Chuckster struck a raw nerve. I'll take candid asshole Lebron over fake humble Lebron any day though.
Both them was right in many ways. But Barkley have already admitted in the past that he everything that Lebron said he was but now Lebron needs admitted that he whinny toward his bosses.
The fact that Barkley had several remarkable instances of not being a good guy as a player doesn't negate his opinion; in my mind, it enhances it. I liken it to a kid trying to tell his parents "You can't tell me not to drink in high school when you did!" Actually, that experience gives said parent a better perspective on whether or not those choices are wise. For Lebron to suggest that Barkley doesn't have any credibility because he made bad choices is essentially to say that nobody has any credibility, because nobody is perfect. Rather than attacking the commenter, one should stick to addressing the comments.
Barkley's a blowhard, and always has been. James is petulant, and always has been. This could make an ideal feud.
I see it as Charles telling Lebron to be somebody's role model when he always preaches that NBA players don't have to be role models....double standard whether you like Lebron's form of celebrity or not
