    I don't know that the state says anything about how much a local school pays. The state set the education requirements but, I assume, different school districts determine their own salaries based on the job market in the area. I have a couple friends who's spouses are teachers in different districts and there is a big difference in pay.

    Thank you for your interest. I think they were pretty good. One of my favorites has a middle school named in his honor in Salem.
