Any firearm to any person in any State where the purchase or possession by such person of such firearm would be in violation of any State law or any published ordinance applicable at the place of sale, delivery or other disposition, unless the licensee knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the purchase or possession would not be in violation of such State law or such published 18 U.S. Code § 922 This is actually interestingly enough the one that covers Sly's question too. who, being an alien— (A) is illegally or unlawfully in the United States;
Y'know, when I was a kid, I loved guns. Fucking loved them. Pew pew pew! My parents disapproved, so I had to save up my own money to buy things like replica Lugers (as featured in the War comics my parents also disapproved of). But then I hit puberty. And magically, I didn't give a shit about them any more. Maybe America needs to hit puberty.
Since we've shifted to cars... We have much tighter control of cars then we do guns. We have records of every car from manufacturer to dealer to purchaser and so on and so on. I would support this for guns. The majority of car owners don't drink and drive but we still have laws against it. These laws protect us from irresponsible car owners.
We share a Familial resemblance right? ( Yes, he told me about how great this forum is and you have a Bill "need to cast this 3rd Quarter" Walton appreciation thread so it must be true.
Thanks, that's what I thought. Re your other post, small arms covered by the 2nd, most if not all of the cannonry used in the revolution were owned by citizens. I remember a few were Thomas Jefferson's, some were owned by Washington, etc.
So you have nothing of value to contribute to this thread, huh? What's wrong? Facts and logic too much for you? Good idea. So tell me....when will your balls drop? LMAO, no we don't. Any felon in this country can go buy a car without a background check. That's not the case with guns; except if you're a gang banger with ties to stolen firearms. I knew a tucker with a class A CDL who was making very good money with 2 drug felonies on his record. Already did time in prison for them. Now he drives an 80,000 lb car hauler, and races funny cars in his off-time. And we have records of every gun purchased through an FFL with the BATFE, so what's your point? Bullshit. I have personally had encounters with 9 drunk drivers in my life since I started driving at 16; including a double-fatality that occurred 50 feet from my doorstep here in Cascade Park. Those laws prosecute. They don't protect. And any drunk with a felony record can go purchase a car without a background check. That's not nearly as easy with guns, since the majority of them are owned by responsible people with common sense and logic. Whereas people don't associate cars as being dangerous.
Okay, you've convinced me. Background checks on everyone who wants to buy and/or drive a car! But more importantly, we're actually have a logical, sane, and civil discussion on gun, (and oddly enough) car control. Congrats! We both win!
I've got a couple CZ 22's but I've never handled one of their handguns. I'll have to see if Keith brings any down to the Rickreal show next month. To lazy to drive to Gresham... He was telling me about touring their factory and how amazing it is what they do with what they have. A nd their safety program or lack of it. Guys grinding with no eye protection at all! Check out Grand Power, they're in Slovakia and so far I've seen some good reviews. It might be on their site a video of a guy that was sponsored by CZ switched to GPS. http://www.grandpower.eu
I like Keith's for their selection. They'll be my "go to" place when I'm ready to buy a long gun. I haven't been there in probably 10 years though; last time I was, there was a guy who was a real dick face that worked there. I think he was one of the owners or something. A real asshole. I think I also had an encounter with him at the Portland Expo Center when I was trying to sell a Ruger P89 at the gun show....... There was a cute freckled girl that worked there too, who looked like she wanted to be anywhere else but there. She even handed me a gun to look at with two fingers, without checking it. In as far as Grand Power, I'm definitely saving that website. Though DA./SA guns aren't my thing. Cocked-and-locked SA or DAO is the way I roll.
As always, the left leaves out the entire quote: Gun Control advocates cherry-picking a speech from the NRA to fit their agenda.....what a surprise, huh? The first part of the quote involving Project Exile involved this statement: He also went on to say: Source: http://www.keepandbeararms.com/information/XcIBViewItem.asp?ID=719 See that? That's called "research". But hey....you've already made it clear that you don't care about reality or facts, so I'm wasting my time here.
Did your guys schools not have Police Officers in them? School Resource Officers? Youth Services Unit?
