AL: TEXAS (32-45) at DETROIT (45-31) <h3>Rogers looks to help Tigers end recent home woes</h3> Texas (32-45) at Detroit (45-31) 1:05 pm EDT DETROIT (Ticker) -- The struggling Detroit Tigers face thestreaking Texas Rangers on Thursday, hoping to avoid athree-game series sweep following Wednesday's rainout. Kenny Rogers (1-0, 0.00 ERA) makes his second start of theseason since missing the beginning of the campaign with a bloodclot in his shoulder. The veteran lefthander made his 2007debut Friday, allowing six hits in six scoreless innings torecord the win against the Atlanta Braves. On Thursday, Rogers faced one of his five former teams in Texas,where he posted a 133-96 record and 4.16 ERA in three differentstints over 12 seasons. Rogers also has experienced a fair amount of success against theRangers, registering a 5-3 record with a 3.96 ERA in 14 careergames - including 13 starts - against them. Opposing the 42-year-old will be righthander Kevin Millwood(4-6, 7.31), who will attempt to win his third straight startfor the first time since August 11-September 11, 2002, a stretchin which he won seven times in seven starts. Millwood is 3-3 with a 4.20 ERA in eight lifetime starts againstthe Tigers. The reigning American League champion Tigers have lost fourstraight home games, including the first two games of thisseries.
