Hey all from the North East, we are supposed to be getting at least 10-14 inches here with wind gusts of 40 MPH+. Stay indoors and be safe. Hopefully none of us will lose power.

Damn. We in the NE corridor have really been fortunate for a year in a half. We are battin' down
the hatches. Blackouts will be the main problem. Stay home and be safe.

...down here we complain about the gnats and heat with high humidity during the summer months, but I honestly don't know how you folks up North somehow survive the cold and snow up there.

Yup they don't give a Shit. I used to work for a Bank for 15 Years and we were having a Blizzard the next morning and told us to come in at 6:00 am and I said "I will get there when I get there". No symphony whatsoever.

Remember those northern winters well, colder than a well diggers ass, shoveling the damn snow. When I was on active duty we went to the field in that stuff. Temps at - 20 with wind chills. Damn, you folks up there stay safe,

Now that I am Disabled and can no longer work I say Fuck the snow, just worry about my honey being on the roads. I think we will be OK, but if you don't hear from me that means my power is out.

We've been lucky so far this winter but it looks like we're going to pay for it starting in a few hours. Stay safe and think of warm weather. I used to always say I didn't mind the seasons as I've been living in the Northeast my entire life. Now I'm getting to the point with the cold and the winters that I can see why people don't like dealing with it.

While you've got the heater up, the logs on the fire, the hot toddies, and hot cocoa going overtime, I will take my shirt off when it hits 76, and get a sunburn for you all. I've got to feel and share ya'lls pain, if it's a sunburn so be it....closest thing to frostbit out here....:devilwink::cool::cool2::cowboy:

So far so good. Lots of snow but no heavy wind gusts, I heard a couple more hours and it will be over. :bgrin:

...snow...meh, my wife is like a kid at Christmas about snow and even though we seldom get any, every time the sky is grey and the temp falls below 40 degrees she gets all giddy in anticipation and is constantly looking out the window for flakes of the white stuff to fall from the sky.
...my girl, funny to watch actually...and I just shake my head.

It's funny because I moved to the South for a short period of time, but missed the white shit and decided to come back to NY for some more punishment.

Thankfully really wasn't that bad where I am. Maybe 4-5 inches and now it's sunny outside.

^^^I could live with 4-5 inches and I'm sure it's pretty with the sun now shining on it...playing in it for one day might be fun but when I wake up the next morning I want that shit to be gone !

may your beau always be safe, always....no pun intended for his safety...!!!

now about that snowstorm Lil'. I don't get it, just when things begin to make sense again, you start talkin' about odd things I have no clue about. Like you got the snow and ice to contend with, but now you're saying there is honey all over; on the roads also? That's got to be utterly treacherous driving, sticky and slick too. Don't they make the beekeepers clean up after themselves anymore, they should be ashamed allowing the roads to be used as wastelands for bee's, next they'll quit sweeping up the birdshit on the expressways.....ntm- there's got to be extremely low visibility from hordes of bee's in the air, and splattered on windshields; with that much honey on the roads, they've gotta be Africanized bee's....~!!~ :devilwink:

Now, what can you tell me about Black Ice.....?? :cool2:

btw- it's 77/ 78 degree's no shit, I've got to go in the air conditioned house, to avoid 2nd degree sunburns, ran out of suntan lotion.....and beer...!:smiley-frozen: Got so much sun already one month into this new year, and our skin went from white to this: :smiley-whatever::smiley-ugh2::smiley-ugh::smiley-woohoo:
