Is it not possible to be right about something and wrong about something else? I think that category includes everyone in the entire world. Talk about a black and white worldview.
Well, I don't watch or listen to Alex Jones, so I wouldn't know. But if you do, I'm happy for you. I just don't understand why anyone believes a conspiracy theorist. But then again...I don't understand how someone believes the Washington Post either. Whatever. I guess. You're not understanding the difference between the two. A Free Trade Organization has nothing to do with Globalization. Globalization is a country or society being at the whims of another, either through Economic or Military superiority (that's a SHORT explanation). Free Trade has nothing to do with that. Stop mixing the two; they are two separate issues. From WTO's website: In principle, this sounds fine. However, when you have a case like the EU, where everything that those in the EU do has to go through Brussels first....that is no longer Free Trade. Because Brussels now sets the rules for what deals France, for example, can do with Britain. Is that how the WTO works? I'll be frankly honest: I haven't followed the WTO in over a decade. I'm not sure what it's become. At one time, the EU was great. Now it's become a dictatorship; to the point where countries like Britain actually formulate the laws of how their country operates "independently" based on some dick bag in Brussels. And it shows, because it's turned Britain into a giant country of pussies (except for Nigel Farage; that dude is awesome).
Holy shit, just shoveled a foot of snow off the cars for the plow guy to come through. Global warming!
I was watching local news this morning and they mentioned that Boston could potentially get hit with 15 inches of snow and I figured we'd see a lot of posts from you today... How much do you have so far?
They're not out actively smashing things and beating people up. And if they would, the main stream media would be AAAALLLLL over it rather than completly ignoring it.
This. He just wants any excuse to continue to preach his hatred of the Right, and if that means making bullshit strawman arguments about the KKK, then so much the better.
God I love how this forum is devolving into an Infowars community. I couldn't have written it better. Oh by the way: Report: FBI Finds White Supremacists Infiltrated Law Enforcement Agencies https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/r...filtrated-law-enforcement-agencies/ar-AAmsNqM
no but a loose collection of anarchy bros smashing shit during largely peaceful protests is the real problem in this country
Sounds like they need to fix their testing procedures then. There is a huge psych exam that they give each potential recruit to flesh out 'bad apples' apparently it's broken. But we knew that already....
It baffles me how people like Daniel Holtzclaw or Christopher Dorner get into Law Enforcement. In our area, just to be CONSIDERED for full-time employment as a sworn officer, it's a MINIMUM of a two year process before the Chief even formally hires you (this does NOT include academy and FTO training). Background checks down to the single period, psych evaluations, interviewing relatives and friends/family, interviewing old employees and employers, checking ALL online activity and social media, polygraph tests....the whole 9 yards. It has never been more difficult to get into Law Enforcement than today. What the fuck were these departments doing to hire such degenerates? Jesus Christ, what are they doing?
I know, it does baffle my mind. However I WILL say that I do know of some people getting in via nepotism preferences, meaning, they could have gotten in even though their testing was shoddy. My family members is police so I hear some interesting stuff from time to time.
I believe that. When I was with the VPD Explorer Post (1997-2004), I knew two men who I really admired and looked up to. One man, Howard Anderson, rose to the rank of Lieutenant while he was employed with the VPD, and his son was the Captain of our Explorer Post, and a good friend of mine. One night, while on assignment in Arizona with the Phoenix Police Department, he got drunk, fondled a female police officer (Phoenix PD), and then tried to force his way into her hotel room. He was immediately put on unpaid Leave during the investigation, and then fired by Chief Martinek once the investigation was concluded. The damnest thing though....I always got a bit of an "uneasy" feeling when I was around him. He was a very strict man who didn't smile a lot, and had a lot of weight and respect in the Department. I also personally believe, though I never addressed this with my friend, that he was a bully towards his son. Not abusive, just a bully. After he was fired though, it hit me like a ton of bricks: the guy was an alcoholic. It was right there in front of me, and he had that "air" about him. And that's what it was. I knew another Police Officer, a Sergeant with the Traffic Division, Shane Yates, who was given the option of resigning his Commission, or face Termination for his role in selling stolen motorcycle parts. I got curious about these cases after all these years, and went online and tried to look them up. I found a document from 2008, that talks about the Navin Sharma incident. He was an officer with the VPD while I was in the Post, and he was always polite and respectful. The guy, in my opinion, totally got screwed by the Department. I think it had little to do with race, and more to do with some sort of power struggle at the top, with him being a pawn. http://www.wweek.com/portland/article-9338-good-cop-mad-cop.html There was a lot of baggage back then that I had forgotten about. The article also mentions the officer Fisk incident. IIRC, that guy took a bullet to the neck and almost died during a standoff in 2003 (again, I'm recalling this from vague memory...), and he was never quite the same after that. I'd be surprised if he's still employed with the VPD; though as of 2008, he was. Thankfully, I surrounded myself with good mentors and good police officers, such as my good buddy "John" (I don't wish to release his name for his privacy, as he is currently employed with the VPD; he works for the Traffic Division). I shudder to think if I had known more personally some of these other fuck ups. Huh. Quite a trip down memory lane.....
