Thunder losing and will probably lose the next one too. That makes them 31-25. Then we hope the Knicks beat them. If we win our two games, at All Star break:

    OKC 31-26
    PDX 25-31

Sets up for a fun race after the All Star break with 2 head to heads remaining.

So, basically, if the Thunder just lose and lose and keep losing and the Blazers just win and win and keep winning, the Blazers can get the #7 seed? Hmm, it seems so obvious once you lay it out like that.

Exactly! Furthermore GS/OKC first round would be epic despite the blowout tonight.

Yep. We take care of Houston in 2nd round and the Jazz in the WCF. Celtics in Finals.

Well, they've played three times this season and all three have been blowouts for Golden State. It might be fun to see Westbrook turn into a volcano of hatred, intensity and frustration, but it's unlikely that the series would be particularly epic.

If we start clicking and play like winners, we'll make it to the playoffs and could even make some noise. If we continue our current pace we're on the outside looking in.
If there's one key, one thing that would make a difference at least as a first step, start giving Meyers some real playing time

I'd love nothing more than to watch Portland take down the spurs. I just don't see it happening.

Portland hasn't clearly proved that they'd beat Dallas in a series. San Antonio is not the logical next step.

Not syaing its gonna happen, and King knows how much I love his unabashed consistent positivism, but this thing DID kind of happen with us and Memphis last year. It is possible that a team in the top 8 takes a dive and we take over Denver and that other team.

^^^^^ If MEM goes through that amount of brutal injuries, that very well could happen. Sad that another team has to be so injured for the Blazers to catch them though.

It is. The Clips are another team who is susceptible to such an outcome as well.

Yes, but the Blazers had to get ungodly hot too. I'm not banking on that happening again this year.

Never know. This is the type of move that might just spark something just like that. ;)

To start the level of fire need you'd need a couple tons of TNT in a PGE substation.
