The problem is unless you are signing close to minimum salary players to replace them next year then you aren't really saving money by trading Aminu and Davis. They have very manageable contracts. I would move one (preferably Aminu) with a bigger contact as an incentive for a team to do the deal but not both.

I could see us getting a protected (top 15-20) first round pick for Aminu. maybe not in the 2017 draft, but I would take it no matter the year. I just think one of Harkless and Aminu has to go.

If Aminu can shoot, I like him much better at SF than PF. He's just not big enough and even though with his length he can rebound, he still gets push around fairly easily. If this team can become a contender and you make it further into the Playoffs, those games get rougher with less fouls called. At SF he is more of a mismatch in Portland's favor where at PF, he is almost always outmanned.

We need to trade guys with value for actual needs we have. Not just dump people to dump them.

Come on man! Lack of chaos is soooo last year.

We need to make trades just to shake things up and keep people on their toes. Change is good, no matter what the change is. Let's watch the world burn.

Right? Trade Lillard to the Lakers, put Blaze in at point guard. What the hell do you have to lose?

We can likely get more than draft picks for Aminu that would help the team out.

They don't even play the same position. You do need depth. You don't want to trade Crabbe who could be argued is actually more redundant. With that said I would have no problem trading Aminu in the right deal and would probably trade him before Ed. So fine to trade someone but not sure why it would be for that reason.

I don't want to trade crabbe because shooters are the most valuable players in the league right now and we only have three of them.

Aminu and Harkless' skill sets are roughly the same. I want more shooters and/or more size.

Aminu is the one asset we have on a reasonable contract (all things considered, including the current state of NBA contracts).

Shieeet. So trade everyone apart of our stars? Yay! This is so fuckin stupid. Keep changing role players, because we got best backcourt in the league. Lets forget they dont play defense and let's forget they can't even play together, It's no problem for us - cos they look so good and they are best friends.

I love them both, but can we finish this drama and move forward please? Trade one to find the balance.

Charles Barkley called them out for being one of the best backcourts in the league that should be better than a #9 or #10 seed. He also indicated it would be tough to play with them because they shoot all the time, don't play defense and don't get other involved.

Can't find much to disagree with there. Very good offensively, horrible defensively and neither are play-makers that make teammates better.

IMO the choice is between Crabbe and Turner. Both of them require the minutes needed as the team' primary SF otherwise and as can be seen, they are very ineffective when their rotation and minutes aren't set. Crabbe is the better shooter, scorer, but he's kind of replicative of Dame and CJ's skillset. He's also more valuable as a trade asset to a team looking for a young scorer. Teams like Philly or Orlando could really use a guy like Crabbe while giving up one of their bigs (Vucevic or Okafor).

Turner is a better playmaker and I think is more complementary to a Dame/CJ backcourt. He can also post up a bit which I think helps when the shots aren't falling as much. He can pass as a point forward, which will help with ball distribution. Crabbe is a dead end on offense as he can either shoot or just pass without setting up the offense.

From there, the choice is between Mo Harkless and Aminu. I think Aminu is more versatile as long as he doesn't shoot 3s all day plus I think he'd be ok with being more of a roleplayer.

But none of them have enough value to get our actual needs met.
