This is ridiculous. Okur over Zach Randolph?!?! This was a horrible job by David Stern. Randolph is one of only four players in the NBA averaging 20-plus points and 10-plus rebounds (All-Stars Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan and Carlos Boozer are the others), he is 8th in the NBA with 29 double-doubles, 10th in the league with 10.3 rebounds per game and in scoring at 24.1 points per game. Randolph has also led the Trail Blazers in scoring and rebound 42 times and he has two games of 40-plus points and 13 games of 30-plus. How can you say he shoudnt have made it?? The blazers' record?? No, theyve already beaten last years win total before the all star break. That shows a ton of improvement. The only reason Okur goes before Randolph is their record. But the Jazz already got a nod with Carlos Boozer. Who cares if he's injured? Does that make Steve Nash any less of an all star? HELL NO!besides, Zach is facing double, triple teams nightly, while Okur hasnt gotten close to the defensive pressure.horrible, horrible snub.*rant over*
I agree with the rant. Randolph is a baller. He didn't get it because of the record, and because of his punk gangsta attitude that Stern is not comfortable with I get the feeling that you don't watch Jazz basketball though. Okur sure as hell gets defensive pressure...

I also would have chosen Zach Randolph over Mehmet Okur, but I still think Deron Williams should have gotten the nod over both of them.

I think Deron was a bit of a snub to begin with, then 4 spots open up and he still doesn't get in? Give me a break. I also would have taken Marcus Camby over Okur or Randolph. Camby is the 2nd best center in the west, IMO. He's so damn underrated.

There still would've been more of your so-called "snubs" if there were 8 more spots available.
I can't believe this sh*t, Okur is not deserving enough. If they're gonna choose a Jazz player in place of boozer, it's Williams, Otherwise, Zach was more deserving than Okur.

He is definitely underrated... he is the key to that Denver team... even more than Iverson and Anthony are. If he's in the game and anchoring their defense, it gives them more opportunities to run, and that gives them a great chance at winning ball games. Not only that, but this guy has basically been playing with one hand almost the entire season.

Who cares...sorry if I sound 'insensitive'...but if it were a player I really liked I might care, but in Randolph's case...no.
Randolph is finished with his off-court antics. He's having a fantastic year for the Blazers, and isn't a locker room problem, at all. The thing is, he still has that reputation around the league for being a punk, and that's why Stern didn't select him.

For them, at least. When Randolph was injured or suspended or what have you, the Blazers were very, very, bad. It's obvious when Randolph is in there playing giving you 100%, the Blazers are a solid team. And telling by the media's reports on him, there's has been no bad blood in the Blazers locker room involving him.
I agree that this was a bad selection Zach Randolph has really emerged in the last two years that he is capable of huge nights and we all know that he is a better player than Mehmet Okur. He is better on the defensive side and he also averages more points and rebounds than Okur. Now the Jazz have a better record than the TrailBlazers but the TrailBlazers are already close to their number of wins they had all of last year.

I think the player that should have gotten in is Deron Williams. I would take him over Okur and Randolph. But if it is just between Okur and Randolph, I would pick Randolph. I mean he is averaging 20+ and 10+ a night.
