Re: Lenevo Stat Unveils the Truth! Ok, Dont get thrown off by the title, but check it out:http://www.nba.com/statistics/lenovo/lenov...mp;team=RaptorsIt shows that the Raptors are in a plus with Calderon as a point guard in 3 different situations is better than Ford. I knew this was coming. Calderon has been playing WAY better than Ford lately, and none of you can deny that. Ive been seeing it, fans have been seeing it, and now we should face the reality. If Ford doesn't play better or at least pick up his game. I think he should open and close games. Case Closed. I give Ford 5 more games, unless I see improvement, Im not changing my mind.
Re: Lenevo Stat Unveils the Truth! I've been saying this everywhere. It's not like Ford is a bad player now, it's just that we've seen Calderon play and he's getting things done, and he's really confident. I think he should be the starter.
Re: Lenevo Stat Unveils the Truth! the lenovo stat is seriously the most meaningless stat in the nba. I remember the celtics had the top 5 combination once, I repeat the celtics. the stat represents teamwork the stat should be removed because it really proves nothing. how do you even come up with the answer? there's no formula. I just don't understand it.
Re: Lenevo Stat Unveils the Truth! I still think Ford is the better all-around point guard, but yes Jose is a very good. Jose Calderon is better off the bench because he is explosive when he enters the game, he gets to the basket he can take advantage of second string players. Ford is simply a better fit in the starting lineup, and it won't be long until we see him as one of the best point guards in the NBA.

Some of the stats they come up with nowadays are just absurd. I can't stand it.
Re: Lenevo Stat Unveils the Truth! Well I guess this time its right, Calderon has been exceptional and Ford hasnt picked up the slack. We were leading 110-100 yesterday, and Ford came in for Calderon, we then didnt score for the last 4 minutes and the Bulls almost won the game, this is getting ridiculous, I really think Calderon should get more playing time than this guy, even a 30-20 minute split if possible.
Re: Lenevo Stat Unveils the Truth! You can't use statistics to judge a players impact. Statistics only go so far, you have to watch games for yourself and judge.

The only thing Ford has been doing lately that is even a bit impressive is his Defence. He really does a good job with his quickness, but he still let Gordon score a potential game winner AND 1 last night, Calderon still has the obvious edge over him.
Re: Lenevo Stat Unveils the Truth! Jose is better coming off the bench. He gives a lot of energy to the team and get people pumped up once he makes a lay-up or hits a shot. Ford I just have to say isn't like himself since he came back from his injury. Hope he can bounce back soon. But Ford is the better man to start. He's a smarter player, Quicker and works well with Bosh on the floor. Like the play last night that made Bosh get fouled.
Re: Lenevo Stat Unveils the Truth! Quite frankly, I don't care who the starter is. They both get lots of playing time and they are both solid PGs. I'm never worried when either guy is on the court (can't say the same for Derek Martin!).I think the Raptors' success this year is attributed to their depth. Bargnani, Bosh, Garbajosa, Nesterovic, Parker, Peterson, Ford and Calderon are 8 players that could be starters on any given team on any given night. It's a great luxury to have. Moreover, the chemistry these players have developed this quickly is unbelievable. Arguably, Joey Graham could be added to the list, although I don't think he's developed into starting material yet. Still, he's a solid bench player and further adds to the depth of this team.
